Yeah he really did something special with that feature 🙏🏾 that was actually how scorch was originally built, to drag and drop one shots but we couldn’t figure out how to get it to sound right. I’m happy he cracked the code, it’s a great workflow to have for the community
I need SPAWN in my life, like yesterday. You've taken so many features that SHOULD be merged together and made a streamlined experience, and I am HERE FOR IT. My personal gatekept plugin is Laser by Sweetsonics, hands down the best sidechain available. The way that the sidechain response can be contoured along with the transient protection to make sure you get that nice clean smack at the front, makes this a blue chip plugin that I've never heard anyone talk about.

Its got transient, tonal bands, dynamic eq, also direct and background bands. Its like the all in one workhorse EQ and its free to use with the unlimited demo.

My gate kept plug in is probably murda melodies from slate digital. Quite a few presets, but it’s extremely easy to use and has quite a few really useful effect knobs for reverb, reverse, saturation, etc.
Spawn looks super dope, and I’m definitely buying the Fusion saturation right now. For my gate-kept plugin: I love to use “UJAM Finisher Micro”. It’s a really creative single-knob multi fx plugin, kind of gives that sparkly portal sound but more consistent. At a low mix level, it really fills out mid-range sounds with a high-end sparkle.
Love scaler! Use it all the time. In many ways scorch was Inspiered by scaler and Cthulhu. I love how easy chord it is to find great chord combinations
I havent seen too many people talking about BEAM by LUNACY. Thats my personal Go-To-Plug In for some Extra Sauce in my Mix. So i would say that this is my Gatekept Plug in.
fusion is ultimately my favorite, not only because of the velocity functions, but as you said, the 808s speak to each other, you can definitely make something with similar bounce to how metro uses 2 different snares to speak to each other. Also the different saturation modes adds a whole new world of depth and almost gives the 808 its own voice? if that makes sense.

My favorite plugin that many people have slept on is the RX1200 by inphonik it is a pretty faithful reproduction of the emu sp1200 it hits hard and even the preset kits are banging!
Neo Soul Keys Studio 2 by Gospel Musicians, imposcar 3, Orion, dubstation 2, DrMS.... just to name a few!! The ones you mentioned in the video are all so dope! Thanks for sharing!!
Not a lot of people talk about Cradle Audio's State Machine plugins. They push the concept of The Prince to extreme boundaries and makes the concept of sound design in romplers possible with really great sounds. Highly recommend pairing them with The Prince.
Dope video, notegrabber is cool, Spawn seems like really great for workflow or just to sketch stuff out quickly, the more stuff like this that comes out the better imo. Tbh just wanted to share some vst's, idrk if they're gatekept or not, but they're some of my favorites: (Backmask mentioned a lot but worth repeating, all that guys stuff is great) Amigo Sampler, Ramzoid 808 cooker, Diablo Lite, UVR, Vapor by Audio Damage, Burier by KIT, LANDR FX suite, Fresh Air, CHANNEV, Dirty Dyna, Visco, Cardinal Rack+FX, and just because nobody has mentioned it, you can really do a lot with Vital. Most of these are free or cheap iirc.
So many great gatekept plugins mentioned already but I’ll throw out Vybz, a lofi fx plugin that I’ve enjoyed their presets and that you can randomize as well. Always love it when plugins have a randomized feature in it
my gatekept plugin is iota mini. it has unreal sounds i use in almost all my beats. its free aswell and it has soundpacks you can download and add to it. awesome video and yoooo spawn looks amazing i have to start saving!!!! (broke solo dad producer lol)
I think the most gate kept plugin is note grabber because it makes learning other songs so much easier and also you can remake a sample you don't like the sound but like the melody
Yeah I had a lot of fun using it. I was surprised it was able to find the chords in that rock song. There was a lot of distortion in it. I’m sure it does really well on soul samples

By far the most gatekept plugin is Calliope by Sonic Cat, the same guys who made Purity. It is a Kontakt library with hundreds of instruments and drum machines in less than 1 GB of disk space.
I don’t have a favorite plugins other than NLS non linear summer, nor am I gatekeeping any. But I am very interested in Spawn. I would love to know when it’s available.
SOUNDPAINT!! That my jam.. I discovered them a few months ago and I’m hooked. It’s one of the most versatile and easy to use sampler players around. Ultra deep sampling, 127 velocity layers, hyper acoustic polyphonic legato, crazy morph technology.. man. That’s just the beginning! Not to mention their libraries sound amazing and are super reasonably priced. And they are constantly updating and adding features. Honestly, I just can’t say enough good stuff about them.
@@sauceware oh you don’t know about SOUNDPAINT? Dude! The guy from 8DiO started it. SOUNDPAINT is the name of he sample player. Like Kontakt . But they do this ultra deep sampling where every velocity layer has its own sample. So it’s not like a normal modulation wheel where there’s 4 or 5 layers and you gradually fade through them. This is way better. You done hear that phasing and the legato engine is Al o next level. I just can’t stop buying libraries. They also keep their prices super low by never having sales. So it’s like the sales price year round. I love it. You can just tell they love it too.

Loading presets into Scorch could be quicker. On my Macbook Pro (with M1 Pro) it takes between 3-8 seconds. In comparison, the presets in Trifecta load in a maximum of 2 seconds. Overall, Scorch is still a secret sauce like all of your plugins. Of course, Spawn was bought outright

Dope video. minimal vst has a lot cool effects, distortions, and a dope multi-mode phase manipulator.
Current is a go to for me! Love Jake and everything they do over at minimal. They are an inspiration to us for sure

Not to mention their libraries sound amazing and are super reasonably priced. And they are constantly updating and adding features. Honestly, I just can’t say enough good stuff about them.

@@sauceware oh you don’t know about SOUNDPAINT? Dude! The guy from 8DiO started it. SOUNDPAINT is the name of he sample player. Like Kontakt . But they do this ultra deep sampling where every velocity layer has its own sample. So it’s not like a normal modulation wheel where there’s 4 or 5 layers and you gradually fade through them. This is way better. You done hear that phasing and the legato engine is Al o next level. I just can’t stop buying libraries. They also keep their prices super low by never having sales. So it’s like the sales price year round. I love it. You can just tell they love it too.
Quadra by Cherry Audio. But right now, Spawn and Note Grabber look like future grabs to me.

Loading presets into Scorch could be quicker. On my Macbook Pro (with M1 Pro) it takes between 3-8 seconds. In comparison, the presets in Trifecta load in a maximum of 2 seconds. Overall, Scorch is still a secret sauce like all of your plugins. Of course, Spawn was bought outright
