Paying 70 bucks full price and then buying vc to rank up player. Then buying season pass. Only for it all to be thrown in the trash when the next game comes out. This is criminal. 2k devs need to be in prison for this.

bro how, a build has been 50 dollars since 2k15. but it was easier to play and grind mycareer plus the clothes and accessories were way cheaper too
One thing about vc upgrading prices that is overlooked by everyone is how, im noticing when I make new builds, I preview all of my main big attributes of my build before I upgrade to see how much vc it would cost, and then after I spend 10 bucks on the build to get my build to a 70 ovr, those prices for the main attribute will be higher than it was before I upgraded, my recent example: I see that when I preview the prices of my driving dunk from a 62 to a 94, it costs 20k vc, pretty decent cost, then I upgrade to a 75 driving dunk while upgrading other things, i spend the vc and I check again, it costs 35k to max out now??? I never hear anyone talking about that
For me, when I upgrade my builds. I upgrade the more useless attributes to lower the price of the main attributes.
I’ve heard about that before but definitely didn’t take it into account as much 💯, but it’s probably 2K’s way of making you feel like buying VC when you’re getting closer to being done with your build while weighing it out to reach around 375K VC for your 99 overall MyPlayer

This is very much a thing.. I noticed it with my speed with ball and ball handling.. it cost me more to upgrade my ball handling after I upgraded the swb.. such a scam

Easily one thee most Insightful and accurate 2k series ever made. "Why 2k doesnt hit the same" it was a pleasure to watch all of them and can't wait for the next one..
2k has been on a decline in popularity since 2k21 next gen dropped. Mediocre gameplay, high entry costs, poor servers/lag/input delay, and removal of convenient things that used to be in the game
This is why I’m only on play now and MyTeam.
At least on MyTeam you can reasonably grind your way to being comp
I miss the 2k16 days when you could max out all your stats in like half a season on MyCareer or if you wanted to skip the grind shit cost like $20 max. There wasn’t any meta builds or spamming moves cuz your player had the stats to play how you actually wanted

The gameplay sucks, the builds are too expensive, the servers are trash, etc. 2k is just garbage top to bottom for years now
2k was using its player base as wales. Meaning a few individuals mainly 30 percent of the players funding 2k employees. Please stop playing this game.

I’m so glad you called them out bro … I’m not buying 2k this year I played for my career my gm and park and that don’t have any substance no real stories like 12’13’14’15 &they tax on vc the builds aren’t really a 99 in fact that cap our builds bro they’re Demigods irl victor , Luka , shoot MJ , and etc . In my my gm there’s no substance the game is terrible it’s not fun how it use to be and they don’t seem to care so soon as college football come out I’m

Even if the builds are $10 cheaper the cost of game went up by 10 and the cost of the vc went up by 10 and you lost total attribute, it's 100% a loss. Not to mention you could hit 95 overall with 75k vc in 2k15 and had the mobile apps where you could earn up to 3k vc a day through daily logins till they cut that out
Another thing I noticed is the green or miss shooting style. Yes, is above average players will have no trouble competing, but the casuals, like the little Timmy’s and old heads, will get smacked by this shooting style. I see it all the time in the theater with players shooting 30% from the field with a scoring guard then sell when they aren’t getting the ball. Game doesn’t even cater towards casuals
True. I’m a casual and get the game when it’s free on gamepass. I can’t even make 3s on pro difficulty in career mode anymore😂 it’s ridiculous
One other thing about the whole 2k My player that makes you pay... is that you got months not 1 year but months to get the season prizes, emotes, animations, otherwise there GONE!! They don't dump all that was in the game at the beginning of the next game run, so if you don't get your player good quick in the life cycle of the game, you won't have much to customize to make your "MY PLAYER" YOUR! Player

Been playing 2k si ce the first one. My career or my player was very good until around 2k17. The thing is, if you play 2k year after year how often are you gonna play my player or my career? Eventually it gets played out and you're just doing the same thing on repeat. It be different if you could carry your players over in the new year but its about money. Its insanity to think there would be different results in a game mode thats essentially been the same for almost 10 years. My team is no different either. My eras is the mode I actually enjoy most where you can create your player as well but cant play online. Oh well.😢

Spitting facts man, a lot of this most ppl should know.. at the end of the day I just think we as a player base just need to come to grip that they cant make a 2k playable for a full cycle anymore.. Literally been this way since 2k18 (I exclude 19 and 20 because those years were decent just broken things like pushing in 19, and 20 was good cus of covid).. Literally gonna wait about a month or 2 this year into 2k to make a build so I can just play off the meta..
2k really took a hit for me when they introduced VC requirement for mycareer. I really enjoyed grinding for skill points. Then it got worse when they required you waste crazy time in the city just to play mycareer.

One thing he did not do is the badges you have also improves your overall. Mind you, it's only going to be a 1-2 overall jump.

1st thing: 2k will never, and I mean NEVER, come close to Elden Ring. The game experience, the content, and the value is CRAZY.
2ndly: I dropped all new versions of 2k and went back to 2k11, 2k12 etc. I like to hoop but this micro is out of hand. I'm back on that mycarrer before the micro. I dont need the park or rec. Unplug from the matrix, but to each his own🤷.

I deleted 2k about a week ago because i kept getting kicked out at the end of the Finals... Which i Won... I tried 3 times soon as the screen popped up showing my mypoints Vc Ect. I got a screen saying (PLEASE WAIT CONTACTING 2K SERVERS) .

@@rodboi100 To be clear 2k support suggested i check to see if my console was up to date Then if i still couldn't Load up the Game they suggested i reinstall the game... Completely disregarding my concerns which was not getting the Game to Load up. It was simply Why the Error codes in mycareer Finals and Why the 44gb update.
So that creates the window for Gatorade and skill boost which costs vc and your still not a 99 overall

The "Harrison Barnes" comparison makes no sense. Every single year of 2k in the last 5 years has had "demi-god" builds. The builds let's you make very strong builds.
Only good point is that vc prices are ridiculous, but they get away with it as a business because people buy it.

Intangibles are useless. They are used by 2K to make quick overall adjustments without raising stats.

You're paying $70-$100 to become a great role player. The last 2k to have you become an all time great was 2k15.
