This was new in the 80s. Me and all my friends listened to zeppelin and sabbath. A new sound was needed. Not a super ska fan but it was something different. I like it more at 60 years old than I did when I was 16

Apart From obviously being a " Superb Outfit " The Specials were " Arguably " The greatest band in terms of " Continually Conveying an " Anti Violence Message " !! From Adrian Browne 1965

Yes, it has The Natoinal Front was a Rgihgt Wing Organization in the UK> I don't t think it exists any more. It definitely doesn't exist in the US nor is Right Wing Groups a real threat to the Average Person in America. I think if they would do an update of this song- and maybe an accompanying Video- it would be BLM and Anti-FA would be the Villains. It would show Blacks attacking Innocent Jews and Asians. What I said is not Politically Correct, but it is true.

The last time I heard "you're going home in a f****** ambulance" was whenever we would have a laugh with one of my senior new Teddy Boys prep taker friend, at high school. He would say it whenever we talked about football, and also whenever his team, Colchester United, played any of his lower form friends football team, in the FA Cup, "I'm going to beat you up, if your team wins".

This was one of my favorite albums while in college. I was probably one of about 20 people at Indiana University who ever heard of "The Specials".
I was lucky to be a youngster in 1980s enjoying these kind of music, such a pity to the current youths missing all these
