RIP Bill Paxton. His performance in Aliens nearly stole the show.
To me he did, I liked him a little better than Hudson
The alien queen wasn't going to let that happen.
I was named Hudson because of this movie
@@HudsonMacdonald15 We named our cat Jonesy after these movies!
Bill Paxton will always be a cool character actor that always made me laugh alot even when he was Chet from weird science lol
All joking aside, Paxton brought something to the role of Hudson that no other actor could.
Everything he's freaking out about is starting to become relevant to the world's current situation .
Paxton did alot of films but really could have had much bigger roles .he was great as Wyatt's older brother in weird science ..
He really did.
Lucky he wasn't typecast as a whiny loser.
He brought Chet!
You know you’re a hardcore Aliens fan when you memorize all of Hudson’s lines.
😂 All of them
We got sharp sticks.
@@system3008 Hey, Ripley don't worry! Me and my squad of ultimate badasses will protect you!!
"WE'RE ON THE EXPRESS ELEVATOR TO HELL, GOING DOWN!"
"Hey sarge, you'll get lip cancer smoking those"
Bill Paxton deserved an Oscar nod for his performance.
he won an Academy of Science Fiction award for it
Oscar whinner for constant whinning
No he didn't ffs 😂
No he did not 🤦🏻♂️
Went out like a boss. And that's why we'll always love him.
First time I saw this movie Hudson's character was instantly my favorite character of the whole movie.
Kind of the comic relief but the writers seemingly weren't trying to make him funny but wrote him as a legitimate jack ass which during intense situations in the movie made his responses legitimately funny.
@@dominickefrim3088 Every character in this movie is well defined. Paul Reiser played the perfect weasel. Lance Henriksen as Bishop is so stoic and "mechanical". Every actor is convincing in the role. I'm not a Sigourney Weaver fan (too manly) but she is a great actress. This role was perfect for her.
Me: RIP Hudson. He died as he lived...
AlienFans: ¿Badass?
Me: Screaming
You can find his corpse in Alien Colonial Marines 😔
"This little girl survived longer than that with no weapons and no training."
"Why don't you put her in charge?"
***** maybe the aliens are vegetarians
Hey i don't want to rain on your parade here man but we aint going to last 17 hours!
At one point she was...showing them directions in the air ways.... They where there to find out was was going on...not to hide as she did....... Peace man
this ain't happening man! this ain't happening!
@@lawrencetboyer .. Yeah! like in vacant lot's, roof top's, and anywhere * everywhere through-out the community Ha!!! :D] .v ..
The best thing about his character, is that he’s the most comedic when he’s trying to be serious. It’s not jokes and cheap gags for laughs. It breaks the tension with real sounding dialogue. The tough talk goes out the window and he starts saying what the audience is thinking. We can suddenly relate to him.
plus his character arc is going from being a "bad ass" because he is hiding that he is scared and or Cockey/insecure to being overtly terrified to being like fuck it im gonna die so fuck it.
"Maybe you haven't been keeping up with current events but we just got our asses kicked pal!"
My favorite quote😆
Good one but I love "Game over man, Game over" lol
@@stevenwilson5556 that's everyone's fav
@@TheCoppoy That one works pretty much all the time outside of the context of the movie
"We're in some pretty shit now!"
Someone said “alien”; she thought they said “illegal alien” and signed up!
One thing I love about Hudson is that even at his death, he's not giving up. He's still gives one last effort to kill the xenomorphs and went down like a champ. I salute you, sir.
LOL, earlier he called "game over" and was ready to put a little girl in charge.
@@gmancolo typical Hudson
Yeah his a bad Motherfucker bad ass
0:08 "Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?" and the reply should be "have *YOU* ever been mistaken for a man?"
Note: Vasquez is a woman and the other person is a man.

One of the greatest action films ever made.
The greatest
Sci Fi.
not even close - the greatest - the blue print for so much. Nothing has come close to touching it.
@@GAFCASTsupport Gladiator is at the same level. I will give James Cameron major credit for seeing the best way to handle the sequel to Alien was an action movie with space marines and multiple Aliens.
@@gimpo3 id say the first terminator tops it slightly..but maybe not. were impressed by blade runner 2049 btw. a new `classic` imo
So many actors owe their performances to Paxton as a support actor. He fucking rules.
have you ever been confused as a man?
"How can they cut the power, man? They're animals." Of the numerous classic Hudson lines, this is my favorite. Whether they actually cut the power is left ambiguous, but his genuine puzzlement about it is hilarious to me.
They probably unintentionally cut the power if they did
They did. The average Xenomorph intelligence level is on par with a smart dog. The Queen, that has a hive mind control over the rest, is about as smart as an average human.
I can only speculate after watching Alien Resurrection. That the aliens cut the power by sacrificing one of their own kind and using the acid blood to burn the wires or control panel to the power supply
“Clever little girl”
@@hisdudeness8328 Nah that's BS. The A3 xeno's gestated from a dog were a little dumber but regular drones are certainly smarter than that.
You have to admit that for a movie released in 1986 Hudson's role is unprecedented. So many priceless quotes, and masterfully played by Paxton. I can't imagine another actor pulling that role off.
Paxton really brought you into the movie like you didn't feel it was some sci fi adventure movie but you felt you were really there.
Rest in Peace soldier... you did your part to protect this universe
Marines and Soldiers are two different things
I always found Hudson's death the saddest in Aliens just because of that little speech where he talks about how he only had a few more weeks as a marine. :(
He was the funniest character in the movie
LIL-countdown By far. Next in line was my favorite was Apone the Drill Sargent
I thought he was referring to the time until rescue (17 days after being declared overdue)
@@jfq7223 No @3:32 he was referring to how long before a rescue crew would make it to the planet and rescue them.
@ iluvmichaeline No, @ 4:38 he said 4 more weeks, not a few.
WHAT A FILM!! Still the best action/horror film made ,nothing else comes close.
As a former marine Hudson was a pretty realistic portrayal of some of the Marines you find in the Corps. His reactions to an no win cluster fuck was classic Marine Corps. Full of humor, bravado, fear and the eventual rise to doing what you've been trained to do. We may be well trained and disciplined but we are still human so you get humor, a rebel spirit and a short timers attitude as an enlistment nears it end. It's something only those who serve in the military understand. Hudson was spot on.
'Yeah....you can count me out'. 'Hey...good idea! Maybe Bishop should go??'......
@@drumdude46 lmao
Brings back many fond memories from the army for me. LoL!
Thank you for your service my guy
@@guyinthechat9533Yes, thank him for being the enforcer for the elite and their evil empire.
the dude could hold his own...mostly....
You made belly laugh 😆
RIP Bill. One of our best who is surely missed.
5:04 "maybe we got em demoralized." LOL... best line ever.
appv12 - Killer sarcasm.
Tragically witty
I don’t know, “what are we going to use? Harsh language?” Is pretty good. Also let’s but out and call it even!
Bill Paxton is awesome. loved him in Aliens and in True Lies. very underrated actor.
Don't forget Predator 2!
Most people don't know that the line "Game over man, game over!" was improvised.
awesome!
Wow, that takes a great actor to pull stuff like that off, something most nowadays really lack man...
My favorite line was 5:17 "You're dogmeat, pal!"
Sumanadasa Wijayapala Mines "how do i get out of this chicken shit outfit?"
Matches Malone It was the Captains line "Hudson get here...get here!!!" with his pissed off face that added to it and made me laugh.
Hudson had quite the character arc, considering his screen time.
From cocky, nearly insubordinate braggart, to panicked coward, then to his brave and redemptive last-stand.
He's one of the most memorable characters and far, far more interesting to me than the other marines.
RIP Private “Yeah, Bishop should go, good idea!” Hudson.
RIP Bill Paxton.
With them things running around ??! Can count me out man 😂😂😂
"Yeah, man, but it's a dry heat." LOL
Hudson is one of the best supporting characters in any action film. He could have been instantly forgettable, yet Paxton made him stand out wonderfully. I've always liked Bill Paxton, even though most people don't. He has an odd charm to him.
I remember the first time I saw him on screen. He was an extra in the original Terminator movie. One of three "punks" that the naked Terminator obtains civilian clothing from (forcibly) just after he time-warps into 1980s Los Angeles.
James Cameron has a core group of actors he trusts and can rely on. They have been in most of his work.
Makes sense, like in sports you don’t want to switch your teammates too often.
Chris Nolan has the same
Quentin too
Similar to Tarintino!
Aliens... 2 of the most underappreciated actors of all time... Michael Biehn and Bill Paxton in one movie
They were also together in Terminator and Tombstone.
A string of cinema's best one-liners, all exquisitely delivered. RIP Bill.
"Aliens" wouldn't have been have as entertaining without Hudson's comic relief, some of the best lines EVAH! :)
Vasquez is the ultimate badass. She doesn't take any shit from anybody, in every shot she's holding a gun, she keeps her cool in most situations, she killed a shit load of xenos, and she even died like a badass with a grenade.
I wish she was in the other Alien movies.
Omg if she survived and was in alien 3 ,,,,it be like having an rpf ,,,she slice it's head off no problem and walk by lol
She was in T2.. lady whose arm changes to a large knife blade in kitchen
@Semper fidelis Semper Paratus Hard not to like a strong woman personally. A woman with fire who can hold her own is a good thing :)
@G E T R E K T 905 Drake said that about Vasquez!
How can she be in other alien movies when shes dead.at least in the movies anyway.
Private Hudson was the best character in the entire Alien series.
His most memorable role, he's so awesome here!
Chet.
Bill was brilliant! I loved every minute of his acting!
He was great in Twister too, with Helen Hunt & Carey Elwes.
Hudson's personality will never be forgotten, the best character I have seen in a action horror movie.
Bill Paxton was truly a great actor. One of those guys that when you saw him in a movie, you knew you were going to get entertained. He directed one movie called frailty with him and Matthew McConaughey. if you're a fan of his you should definitely check out his movie. Rest in peace Bill.
That movie was a mind fuck watched it bored one night on Amazon couldn't believe I'd never heard of it!
"Stop ya' grinnin', and drop ya' linen!" Hudson's most overlooked quote! 🤣🤣🤣
Man I love Hudson's last stand
Man, Hudson goes down like a fucking boss!
I still cried though... :-(
Atleast they had him go out like a fucking boss.
The best of the "Alien" series, and its not even close. Horror, sci-fi, action/adventure with realistic drama. Its a complete movie. This movie stands on its own. There is nothing else like it. Ive seen it at least 100 times, and I never get tired of it. It was just so ahead of its time.
How people can like Alien better is beyond me.
Amen brother
One of the greatest of all times!! They don't make em like that anymore, Bill Paxton R.I.P brother you'll surely be missed by all!
Hudson's last stand! Epic!
To this day this Squad had more personality to it then every action movie that has recently come out. You remember these Marines.
"Hey, maybe we got em DEMORALIZED!"
Best character EVER! I just love this guy. I really don't think this would have been half as good a movie without Hudson, there have been times when I put this film on and watched the whole thing just because I wanted hear him say "GAME OVER!" Really great shit. Every writer hopes to create some minor character who carries as much pop-cultural weight as Private Hudson.
He’s reading right man. Watch!
This will always be my favourite Hudson line! Perfect sarcasm!
"Well that's great, that's just fuckin' great man, now what the fuck are we supposed to do? We're in some real pretty shit now man"
LOL!
Bill Paxton he was a great actor and we will all remember him may he rest in peace
Paxton is one of the GREATEST supporting actors of ALL TIME!! (not in any particular order, but...) From "Aliens", to "Predator 2", to "Near Dark", to "True Lies", to "Frailty", to "Terminator", and all the way back around again, to "Hatfield's and McCoys"!! Bill Paxton was a total fkkking LEGEND!!! It break's my heart to know that he's no longer with us! 💔
R.I.P. Bill Paxton! 🙏
4:48 Best scene.
Ripley: Well somebody's gonna have to go out there and fix it.
Hudson: Oh yeah, SURE....with them lil things runnin' around??? You can count me out!!!
Hicks: I guess we can just count you outta everything?
Hudson: THATS RIGHT MAN!!! Hey why don't you go man?
Bishop: I'll go, Im the only one that can program it.
Hudson: Yeah man, Bishop should go...Good Idea!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just gotta say Bill Paxton was a great actor.
I was on a roller coaster and I made my girlfriend laugh when we reached the top of the hill by saying "we're on the express elevator to Hell, GOIN' DOWN."
Haha =D
That's a keeper when ur girl remembers a line from a sci fi film. Need to lock that down, lol
stgeorge28 Inorite. Put a ring on it. Pronto. And make lots of little nerd babies together : )
We lit up a toke on the way up the coaster, I recommend not repeating that
Greats story, Hansel
The best line was "WHY DON'T YOU JUST PUT HER IN CHARGE?"..
Game over man, game over.
+ How they cut the power? they are animals.
One of my favorite moments in real life: I was watching a double feature of Alien and Aliens at the Senator Theater in Baltimore. It was quiet as hell. Ripley and Newt just got saved. Some dude in the audience yelled out "WHAT DO YOU SAY WE DO WITH HIM, HUDSON?" 5:11 The whole audience erupted with laughter. It was epic.
well Hudson was made to act as an Audience Surrogate in Aliens, he says what everyone is thinking while watching the film, just like Lambert in the first film.
Early Hudson acts all cocky and macho, having full confidence in the marines being Ultimate badasses which mirrors how everyone is led to believe the Xenomorphs wouldn't stand a chance against them and Aliens would be more action-based overshadowing the horror elements.
then after the disastrous Hive battle, he goes all "game over man" and complaining about how screwed they are mirrors the audience realizing how wrong they were and being hit by the full gravity of the situation. that the Xeno's are just as dangerous and deadly, and that Newt was right in saying that having fully trained, armed to the teeth soldiers "wouldn't make a difference"
then after he regains his confidence after rescuing Ripley and Newt from the facehuggers, he speaks for everyone when he shows complete and utter contempt and hatred for Burke and wants him dead.
If I could travel back in time, I'd travel back In time to that theater showing to hear that guy shout out what he said out loud.
@@doctorpool480I'd save Bill Paxton
Man, I miss the good old days where we had proper character development
“Maybe we got em demoralized” 😂
Maybe we got them demoralised. Always made me smile.
Vasquez was a Latino badass marine in this movie then a poor Irish mother in titanic lol
He play in titanic?
@Reborn she play in titanic
Shes jewish. I think shes mix. One of em being Brazilian.
Wow did t know she played In titanic
Terminator 2 John Connor foster mother.
I cant think of another character who almost everything they say is quotable.
Val Kilmer in Tombstone
Ill be your huckleberry
I have 2 guns one for each of you

@@jbizzle1966 er is this aimed at proving J C right? Some of the least memorable lines in movie history 🤨
Bring goofy characters back to blockbuster action and sci-fi movies
Great film and a great character who redeems himself at the/his end
One of the most badass films of the 80's & 90's
"How could they cut the power man they're animals!" I say this ever time the power goes out. Hahaha!
Hudson-"Well... you can count me out" Hicks-" I guess we can just count you out of everything?" Hudson "Yeah, that's right" LOL!!! TIMELESS
This movie is so good. Every scene. Every line. Every nuance. The best sci fi film ever.
It's not the best sci fi film ever. The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars : A New Hope, Alien, and Terminator 2 are all better for a few examples. I think Aliens is still a great film though.
"Yeah man, but it's a dry heat!"
RIP Bill Paxton. Amazing talent and gone way too soon! Loved this movie and his lines.
It's weird really when you see it cut into a short clip like this. the character William Hudson only has just over 6mins of screen time in a movie that's 2 1/2hrs long, He is 1 of the central characters that we all loved and routed for it just shows what a quality actor Bill Paxton is , I Iove this movie and have recently purchased myself the whole quadrilogy on Blu-ray, some popcorn's getting munched over halloween:)
He has 6 minutes of Dialogue, his on screen presence is much longer.
I loved Hudson.
He was a loyal Marine, he was funny, he was cocky, but never stupid or arrogant.
You could always rely on him to do his job.
Bill Paxton really left a hole in the cinema industry, none managed to fill.
I remember howling with laughter to the point of rewinding the VHS back multiple times to hear it again with each viewing. #2 for me is "You tell me man, I only work here." This is one of the best action scripts ever written. Period.
indeed!
"We've got knives, sharp sticks" 😂
Game over man, Game Over!
One of the most memorable lines in cinemas/movie history.
That's what pretty much most everybody's going to be saying when the judgment of God breaks. Just like it says, will he find faith when he comes?
Still went down like a boss.
"How can they cut the power, they're animals." XD
1:26 I´m wondering if those phased plasma pulse rifles are in the 40 watt range.
Only what you see, pal...
Wrong!
They are
I always loved that instead of saying "What the fuck is a phased plasma rifle?", the guy just said "Only what you see, pal." Being a gun dealer in L.A., he's probably received more psycho weapons requests than he cares to think about, and he has zero curiosity to hear any more.
Hudson made the movie! Period! I love Aliens. The best out of all of them in my opinion
The first one is good to do not get me wrong though Aliens I like or an little bit better
Hudson was always my favorite
HUDSON: hey maybe its like an ant hive..you know what i mean... like one female that runs the hole show the mama shes BADASS man i mean BIG
VASQUEZ: STUPIDO!
xD Hudson was right on the money
The best of all sequels by far A classic for Signeury
I was gutted when i heard Bill died, he was one of my favorite actors, He stole this film as the hyper paranoid marine, and he robbed True Lies, he was one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood , interesting that he was the only actor killed by the Alien ,Predator, and Terminator. He only made one film where he got star billing , but his countless other films were classic ,him and Michael Biehn were a good team. R.I.P Bill thank you for the memories ,God bless your soul.
He's like another of my favorite actors, Gary Oldman, always the supporting actor but usually outshines the main character and only the fans give them the credit they deserve.
@@ftniceberg874 Gary Oldman is superb actor, State of Grace was one of his first in the US and he was a total mad man ,and True Romance as Drexel he nailed that role ,I was glad he won the Oscar for Darkest Hour .
I was with my wife shopping at a mall when I learned Bill Paxton died. I broke down crying and my wife had to find me a chair to sit down but she understood/felt it too but in a different way, namely because she'd is a huge Dwayne Hicks (Michael Biehn) fan. We love Aliens. I loved how Bill directed The Greatest Game Ever Played, it was precision. His acting was far superb from a bit part in Commando to a star role in Tornado with Helen Hunt.
Best character in Aliens , epic final scene , should never have killed him off.
"We're on express elevator to hell, going down!"
All time favorite quote.
I said this to another employee when we were coming out of the locker room at Tesco's, going back down to the tills. Lol.

Brilliant. Bill Paxton was real, he was us.
"Hudson" would have resulted in endless spin offs had he been a character of 2019, which is why I am so glad he wasn't.
I am only sorry I never saw Bill Paxton in a Coen Fargo Series. I think he would have been amazing.
RIP x
"Maybe we got 'em demoralised", lives rent free in my head. I also love the face Hudson makes when he says it.

How did he not get an Oscar for this?
Thank you Bill Paxton. Every space marine after this was thanks to this amazing actor and his genius portrayal of an immortal character! HOOAH!
RIP Hudson, you were a true hero.
But its fiction bro .. take it easy on that stuff
here's a fun drinking game: figure out how many times Bill Paxtons' character says "Man!"
I did the math as best I could and counted how many times Hudson said "Man" before he dies. He says it over twenty times at least. Depending on what the choice of alcoholic drink, they are guaranteed either a great time, passing out before the moviie ends, or a real life actual game over man. I salute all who plays this game.
I bet everyone who’s ever served had a guy like that in his/her unit. I sure did. Loved that character because of how authentic he was.
I am very proud and happy you made this. Good work.

I want to see one of these on Vasquez.
It's still amazing to me that the same actress was the mother in "Terminator II."
Thank you.
Bill Paxton's performance stole the show. His behaviour illustrated the human fear, all of us would have experienced, in that terrifying situation. His best line...." Game over man....game over", has become legendary in cinema history. RIP Bill....gone but never forgotten. 🙏🏽
It really goes to show why this film stands the test of time. It’s not to do with just the script, the special affects or the lore setting. It’s all down to the acting talent.
