I just completed this project. I paused and re-watched and got it done. Thanks. Luckily I did not bend the cover taking it off, like in this video. I also used a glue gun instead of epoxy/tape. A little bit more life for my laptop.
Wow, thank you for showing me this. I agree, to me it seems that HP has lost it's mind in placing the keyboard in such a place that is a nightmare to deal with
I got the replacement keyboard and then watched your video, and decided Fuck that! why would they attach the board on the keyboard? Ridiculous! I would have to charge double and not worth it on a 5 year old Laptop! Awesome Video though!
Replacement on these HP laptops the keyboard is the weirdest thing HP has done they should of made the keyboard were it comes off from the top to make easier to remove so much problems to take out the keyboard on these HP 15 laptops, if you have to replace the keyboard, it will give you problem's and the new ones you have to buy the complete arm rest, and its not cheap, to buy more or less same price as buying the same laptop at that price HP needs to change the design,
@@PCHOMEADVISOR i got one delivered from USA, for 45 pounds, 3 years ago, this week im replacing the plastic bottom and keyboard housing and bracket covers for the screen aswell as replace the power button with new board and cable, I have heat resistent tape and going to cover the parts where dust and heat are worst and secure the metal frame to the keyboard.

Yeah I concur with you
Its so stressful
Good job and thanks for sharing .
Remember when replacing the keyboard was about the easiest thing to do on a laptop??
good times, I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to take out the keyboard
Excelente aporte, concreto. Gracias MAESTRO, por compartir. Saludos desde Guatemala.
Hp has messed their life up, on Hp 15 Keyboard.
Отличный ролик. Всё наглядно

what is the metal casing over the keyboard, does it have a part number?
I got it it is a support frame
It was a long time ago when I was fixing this laptop, but if I remember there should be a part number on the metal case covering the keyboard.

@@jameshadaway8621 nice one, good luck with the replacement! It is always good to use the heat resistant tape.
Parece que estuvieras "canibalizando" el equipo... Muy laborioso... Más barato es el valor del teclado que el servicio de instalación...
