I never thought I will say this ever about commercials or ads, but considering what's happening with TH-cam recently, I'm happy to see one before your video!
Thank you for leaving this message! I really want to be able to keep making youtube videos but my main source of income (adsense) has, like it has for other creators, plummeted recently, and I think that's left a lot of us suddenly really financially unstable and wondering how we're going to keep making videos! I'm glad I had some additional revenue streams like Patreon and DFTBA to keep me going, but adding in the occassional brand deal is something I'm going to have to do into the future. Importantly I want all of you to know: I'm only ever going to do a brand deal if I actually use the product/believe in the worth of the company! I'm very strict with who I'll do a sponsorship with, and I actually turn down about 95% of offers for this reason. I'm not here to make huge amounts of money - just enough so that i can keep doing this, and keep making my videos better for you guys :)
Annika Victoria You could be sponsored by a used gym socks sniffing service for all I care, I would still watch your videos! 😂 The ppl who think content creators shouldn't benefit from their work and moan about sponsored content are ridiculous. They would never do a minute's work for free so why should you!!
MAKE LEGGINGS MAKE LEGGINGS MAKE LEGGINGS COTTON LEGGINGS WORKOUT LEGGING SPORTY ELASTIC BAND LEGGINGS ZIPPER LEGGINGS PANELED LEGGINGS MAKE ALL OF THE LEGGINGS!!!!
A cool tip if you want a bit more support is you can always try to find those cami's/tank tops that have that "built in bra" thing. ((I hope you get what I'm talking about haha))
Beckieyy Ann you could also sew bathing suit liner pads to the built in bra (visible threads would be on the built in bra but NOT on the cami). I don't worry about support but more about poking through the tank.
Annika Victoria I love your show! can you help with this project? www.fjallraven.com/abisko-trekking-tights $150+ anywhere I look! they're a super cute design. much
I love you so much, i used ur knife pleated skirt, high neck crop top and cage suspender tutorial for my school project and I got an A*. THANKS FOR THE WORK!!!! 😘 😘 😘
It's so good when you show "mistakes" or mishaps. I get so depressed/defeated-feeling when tutorials (like on Pinterest) only show these perfect, professional results from crafting. The reality is there is often a lot of trial and error.
This is one of the first diy's I've seen that I genuinely feel like I can achieve as a complete novice to sewing, I'm looking forward to giving it a go!!!
Annika, I just want to say that I ordered a Janome machine that arrived yesterday! I'm going to start sewing and its because of you and your videos. You've inspired me to get started and I'm so excited!! thanks so much ❤
I know this is weird but Im so proud of you for having an official sponsor for the vid. I get that YT is your full time job atm and you do soo much effort into it. You rock ❤
Annika! I had an idea I want to see you try to DIY. I would love to see you tackle the challenge of trying to make one of those super cool faux fur sweatshirts! Like ones from lazy oaf or joyrich.
I've used thrifted spandex style tops meant to be really tight in place of a tank top. It was actually easier then I thought! The fabric was not as difficult to work with as I has thought it would be.
You're welcome :) I used a pattern I bought, but I think it should also be possible to create one yourself by tracing from a tight fitting pair of trousers and adjusting for the stretchy fabric. My serger is broken atm so I can't make any new leggins, but it's a super rewarding project! Easy and fast to make and you can go crazy with fabric choices and have stuff you'd never ever be able to buy somehwere. I think the first one I ever made took me a bit longer but then I had stuff figured out :)
THEY LOOK SO GOOD UNDER OVERALLS. AND THE ELASTIC BAND TRANSFER IS PERFECT. this is the most satisfying video I have ever watched. Keep up the good work.
I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL BY CHANCE AND... LOVE AT FIRST VID!!! I'm an intermediate seamstress and i love how detailed the vids are and how original the ideas are!! I haven't found any other channels like this!! I've made my own clothes for ages, but I haven't been sewing for a little while and you are seriously INSPIRING me to get back at the machine!!!! thanks a million, and keep up the awesome work!!!
i've made a few costumes in the past and I've loved to doing it but I haven't done anything just for casualwear and everything you post inspires me to start sewing again!! I think once I come home from college I'll try this out!
Now I can do DIYs since I have the time now. I got my wisdom teeth removed today and it still hurts like shit so I might as well continue sewing that one skirt I started two months ago.
This is way too perfect! I accidentally grabbed a singlet that was much too tight for me around the tummy and I've been wanting some exercise gear but haven't found any I really like in shops. Honestly, I think this is the project that's gonna convert me from just a viewer and get me to actually start trying more of these like I've wanted to!
Already posted this on your last video, but: Could you make/thrift/buy a pair of espadrilles (including braiding the soles)? The process doesn't seem too hard and it would be a great way to use up spare fabric with cool prints you have. Plus you can make them exactly your size! Would love to see if it is doable! Love your channel, your videos make my day!
Your videos have inspired me to finally start a sewing project that I've been planning to do since summer. I'm making a top -- my first ever sewing clothing diy!
I always get so happy to see you upload. And you actually inspired me to learn how to sew. And I recently started to make my own renascence faire costume!
Veronica Maria You could follow the bodysuit pattern but in addition to the exterior fabric pieces, cut the same pieces in a lining fabric with the same stretch. Then just baste the linings and outers together before following Annikas tutorial to sew the pieces together 😀
The printed elastic!!! Thank you!!!! Getting custom elastic would be a nightmare - so expensive for so much you won't use - I was really sceptical about wether it would hold up in the wash so thanks for adding that part in at the end xx
Jesamania rotary blades are waaaaaaay way sharper than pizza cutters and also the rotary blades are smaller which gives you better control, especially with curves.
Such a cool tutorial! Also, it makes me so happy that someone with a similar body type to me isn't afraid to make & wear crop tops (and look super cute in them!!) I feel like I usually see smaller girls doing diys for things like this... but seeing how it looks good on a different body type makes me so happy and like I could potentially do this too! :)
Just wanted to tell you that, you made me buy a sewing machine a couple month ago. Best decision ever. I love it ! And I love your content 😍 Love, from France ❤
This is awesome! I have thinking about making my own workout gear since I've been losing weight, and I don't want to keep buying workout gear each time I drop a size. I also got some of your stickers to put on my newfound thrifted sewing machine, and they are amazing!
I like these better than the sports bra ones. It's a personal preference but I hate wearing sports bras, so I like that you gave an easy version like this!
Oh Annika, I just found your channel a few weeks ago and already watched all of your videos! You really inspire me to get to my sewing machine again after my finals are over :)) I will definitely make some of your diys ! :)) Love from Austria, not Australia :b
I do daily workouts and need some tops. That's a great idea. I never even thought of doing them like that.. I've made a ton of shorts and leggings because I find those easy but I've not made too many tops. I'm definitely going to have to try this method.
I've discovered your channel this weekend and I've become completely hooked on it! I've tried sewing my own clothes before but didn't have much success.... OTL But I think I'll give it another go now! Thanks for making these videos~~~
Can you please please please make the Lazy Oaf Mondays Hoodie Dress? It's so expensive and I would love to make my own! Watching your videos always helps whenever I sew clothing for myself! You always make my day when a new video comes out. Thank you for making videos!
lovvvveee itt!!! I don't do anything, or leave my couch, but I would wear them anyways. It's giving me 90s hip hop vibes and I'm not mad at it. You killed it, as usual! ❤❤👌
using your fabric scissors on paper will dull them faster! you should have a pair of scissors for general use and only use your fabric scissors for fabric. love the tutorial!
I love this channel and I like it because it's modern and very detailed but not boring. Are there other channels like this? If so can someone tell me about them? .I want to sew more often and am not great at coming up with stuff out of the blue.
Always Ava I was thinking of starting a channel since I do a lot of sewing! But there's also withwendy, q2han, and some others that I can't remember off the top of my head :)

Beckieyy Ann Good idea girl. I have two or three of those that I have in the donate pile, I should try it out. :)
the ones i have and are supposed to be sports bras have double fabric on the front part and are a tighter fit
Annika Victoria I love your show! can you help with this project? www.fjallraven.com/abisko-trekking-tights $150+ anywhere I look! they're a super cute design. much
When that transfer stretched WITH the elastic, I died and came back to life! What a magical moment! Good work, ans thanks for the tip!
RIGHT?!!!! You don't even know how excited I was the first time I did it and IT WORKED hahaha
I love the way you made this sponsorship it didn't feel "forced" as it can sometimes on other channels. it's just nicely put and it's pleasant
I love you so much, i used ur knife pleated skirt, high neck crop top and cage suspender tutorial for my school project and I got an A*. THANKS FOR THE WORK!!!! 😘 😘 😘
Wow!!! you're so welcome, this comment makes me so happy!! :)
i LOVE it when Annika gets sponsored! GET👏THAT👏SPONSOR👏MONEY👏GIRL! You truly deserve it!
It's so good when you show "mistakes" or mishaps. I get so depressed/defeated-feeling when tutorials (like on Pinterest) only show these perfect, professional results from crafting. The reality is there is often a lot of trial and error.
The rainbow one under overalls omg I lovee
I created a sports bra-inspired bikini top, using this crop top tutorial. Then I used the DIY underwear tutorial to make a bikini bottom :-)
Skye ID what -- already???! That's freaking awesome
You're freakin' awesome!
5 seconds in and I'm already loving this
also, your lipstick is beautiful ahhhh ♥

The grey and rainbow looks so 70s I love it!
I loved the three crop tops but the black is was favorite, looks so good. Really well made
Annika! I had an idea I want to see you try to DIY. I would love to see you tackle the challenge of trying to make one of those super cool faux fur sweatshirts! Like ones from lazy oaf or joyrich.
im a novice costumer and your videos help me so much. Its not just the sewing tips, bu the budget you do every episode... thanks so much
I've used thrifted spandex style tops meant to be really tight in place of a tank top. It was actually easier then I thought! The fabric was not as difficult to work with as I has thought it would be.
DIYing leggins is SUPER easy, especially if you have a serger like you do. I literally made a whole bunch in one go once, like 5 or 6? :)
Ooooh yay! thank you for the encouragement!! I'm really looking forward to making some!
You're welcome :) I used a pattern I bought, but I think it should also be possible to create one yourself by tracing from a tight fitting pair of trousers and adjusting for the stretchy fabric. that rainbow elastic is amazing
the iron-on transfer to the elastic was ridiculously cool!!
i've made a few costumes in the past and I've loved to doing it but I haven't done anything just for casualwear and everything you post inspires me to start sewing again!! I think once I come home from college I'll try this out!
This is exactly the DIY I've been looking for and needing recently!
Im a simple gal, i see a good belch at the beginning and I like
The black one and the rainbow are just amazing
Omgg I want to make the rainbow one and wear it for pride aah, such a cute look! Also, the black one looked super professional, so cool!
Thank you for brightening my day with this video 💕💕☺️
Now I can do DIYs since I have the time now. I got my wisdom teeth removed today and it still hurts like shit so I might as well continue sewing that one skirt I started two months ago.
can't wait for episode 53.5 (1 minute into episode 53)
I'm going to have to check out that transfer paper. 😯
Your crop tops turned out great. 👍
I will 100% use this and use those transfers to make these. These are so cute!!!

I absolutely love the rainbow one :D I didn't even know this was a style but now I just NEED to make one for my overalls :3
Don't cry, craft
Your videos have inspired me to finally start a sewing project that I've been planning to do since summer. I'm making a top -- my first ever sewing clothing diy!
omg they're so cute, i love the rainbow one and i would totally try to make it but i suck at diy stuff
Ohh I love this. I've wanted to buy one of those fashion sports bras for a while, but I'll do this instead for sure! Thanks!!!!
I always get so happy to see you upload. And you actually inspired me to learn how to sew. And I recently started to make my own renascence faire costume!
Hey annika could you make a one piece swimsuit diy? I saw the body suit video, but I wouldn't know how to put in the lining and the straps
Veronica Maria You could follow the bodysuit pattern but in addition to the exterior fabric pieces, cut the same pieces in a lining fabric with the same stretch. Then just baste the linings and outers together before following Annikas tutorial to sew the pieces together 😀
These are so cute! I wish I was good at sewing haha I need a sewing machine
You could always hand sew lol
Love this DIY! I love how you're so confident in your self while showing how the project went! You should make sheer rainbow bomber jackets!!
i know it is getting close to winter for you guys down unda but it would be awesome to see some sundress tutorials!
The grey rainbow one is super flattering on you omg
The printed elastic!!! Thank you!!!! Getting custom elastic would be a nightmare - so expensive for so much you won't use - I was really sceptical about wether it would hold up in the wash so thanks for adding that part in at the end xx
I didn't know I needed a printed elastic band crop top in my life until right now.
This is brilliant! Why did I not think of this! I love this style of top, but not really the brands who sell them, so this is wonderful!
Fun project! It's great to see how clothes can be reused in other ways!
You can actually sell the rainbow 🌈 one! It turned out so cute! 😍
can I use a pizza cutter
Jesamania if it was sharp enough, I suppose, but it could mess up your fabric, so I wouldn't suggest.
scissors work just fine, but take longer.
As long as it sharp and doesn't have any pizza residue on it, I don't see why not.
Jesamania rotary blades are waaaaaaay way sharper than pizza cutters and also the rotary blades are smaller which gives you better control, especially with curves.
BRUH
Jesamania sadly, no. I've tried :(
you're a great inspiration Annika!!
Woah that transferpaper is amazing! Love the endresults!
Oh my goddd, that rainbow one, though!! I love it!
Love it! The rainbow one is absolutely adorable!
Love this Diy looking forward to the other one. I'm a size DDD in bras so I definitely need support
Such a cool tutorial! Also, it makes me so happy that someone with a similar body type to me isn't afraid to make & wear crop tops (and look super cute in them!!)
I feel like I usually see smaller girls doing diys for things like this... but seeing how it looks good on a different body type makes me so happy and like I could potentially do this too! :)
I love the rainbow and black and white one! 😍😍
I love how you kill everything that is recommended! You rock wearing and making anything that is asked! luv u

The rainbow one is my all time favorite 😍😍

I loooove the rainbow one!!!!
using your fabric scissors on paper will dull them faster! you should have a pair of scissors for general use and only use your fabric scissors for fabric. love the tutorial!
the rainbow and black are my favorite!! adorable as always annika :)
You could also use the leftover bottom half of the tank top to make a tube top or something like that
I love this channel and I like it because it's modern and very detailed but not boring. Are there other channels like this? If so can someone tell me about them? .I want to sew more often and am not great at coming up with stuff out of the blue.
