Hockey is probably as popular in Wisconsin as it is in MN or IL.
Having a great goalie on a bad rebuilding team makes no sense. Also, It makes no sense for a rebuilding team to spend up to the salary cap. The Blackhawks ideally would like to draft in the top 5 next year and grab another cornerstone prospect.
It’s ok spending up to the salary cap if its just 1-2 year deals, they will never have a problem when it comes to signing free agents,
