- Most of the times when I run into a seemingly impossible level in Super Mario Maker, then solution is easy: Search the Super Mario Maker level for a hidden question block, and use the dev exit. There are way too many hidden question block exits in Super Mario Maker, since there are so many cool and much better ways to create a seemingly impossible level in Super Mario Maker. Today we are going to take a look at 7 seemingly impossible rooms in Super Mario Maker and how to actually escape them!

Actually, you can ground-pound in all the themes with Goomba shoe, a Big Goomba Boot allows you to ground pound AND kill Boos (from the gusts of wind)

That's why people shouldn't take no skip too seriously. Nintendo added a skip button for a reason.
Not sure if this feature was changed as I don't actually own the game, but anyway:
There is (or at least was at some point) a small chance that a Mushroom spawned by a ? Block would instead be a Weird Mushroom. However, when testing a level or verifying it, the game will not spawn Weird Mushrooms unless the creator intended for it to spawn. Somebody made a course that pushed the player through some sort of conveyor belt that spawned hundreds of Mushrooms from ? Blocks. There was such a small chance of not spawning at least one Weird Mushroom that it was essentially guaranteed. At the end, there was a contraption that would let Normal Mario through, but would kill Lanky Mario. Since there was no way of becoming Lanky Mario in verification, but essentially a 100% chance of it when playing the published level, it was truly impossible.
What if the player is extremely lucky?
Well, if you watched his last video, he actually managed to pull of a litterally impossible level, using an older version of the game to perform the patched two-state block glitch. When he went into the most recent version, the glitch, which was patched in a later uptade, made the level absolutely impossible

Love the stuff you do, man. You have such a passion for these kinds of videos, and the ingenuity that goes into them is remarkable.

Interesting Mechanik: if the bottom part of a checkpoint is in a one block high wall and underneath the ground/wall thingy is free space, the checkpoint will place Mario in the room beneath! This is what bowser calls a "did you die?" Contraption! Also I might give you later the codes to 2 levels with interesting mechanics for example bowsers storage ship unfair!

For those of you who don't know how to wall jump with a spring, I know how to do it, here's the trick.
1. Hold your spring.
2. Press your dash, and jump button at the same time. ( B and Y )
3. Run towards a wall, and jump.
4. While holding the two buttons, let go, this will make Mario slide down the wall.
5. Press the two buttons again. This will cause him to jump, and catch the spring at the same time.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5.

I encountered a dead end with a fire flower bouncing on a note block (only one block height underneath) next to a tall red cannon.
You had to go under the note block, time your jump, and somehow Mario was pushed into the red cannon and popped out the top. It was crazy!
I actually didn’t get it until I downloaded and edited the level, expecting to see some hidden block. Nope, it’s just a weird glitch the creator expected you to figure out.

I found a minor "glitch". In the castle theme in SMW, do the following: 1. Get a yoshi 2. Use yoshi and eat a cape feather 3. Spit it onto a note block 4. Let it fall to the lava

There is actually a glitch in the super mario bros 3 mode that when you place a P-switch or a spring on top of a hidden block and you hit it with your tanooki tail, the item falls through solid ground blocks until it finds an opening gap.

if you pull up the cannon with conveyor belts, it goes about half a block lower if there is a block above the conveyor belt.
Have you made any more progress on a genuinely impossible level? I really liked your impossible to clear from checkpoint level and video. It was very clever, and I really want to see you make a fully impossible level. I think you can do it, keep trying!

It seems to be debatable whether this is actually impossible or not. The problem is that how the game determines rng is unknown. In a truly random situation, there is always a chance, no matter how big or small it is, that you will never get a weird mushroom. The problem though is that chance should be about 27%.
You have a 1% chance to get a weird mushroom, or 99% chance not to get one, and there are 132 mushrooms. So, 0.99^132=27%. BUT, the level seems to have a zero percent clear rate. I've searched almost the entire comment section but can't seem to find any definitve answer, other than speculation that it is due to how the game determines rng.
@@TheTonyMcD Smash Boss' level has already been beaten. Someone did it on stream. It's an RNG level, so it's not actually impossible like the title suggests.
There are actually thousands of impossible levels online, which is do to Nintendo retroactively patching techniques and glitches out the game.
In fact, Nintendo didn't just globally patch out glitches, but they've even changed how high a vine grows from a hidden block which has caused retroactively impossible levels.

I found a cool mechanic where if 1 kaizo block is below the others then you can get up by jumping through the side of it. (I display it in my level: lots of trolls and a weird trick)

Hey ceave I was wondering if you could make some sort of Majora's Mask 3 day system. I know you already made something similar in your three door trial but I was thinking you could implement it into an entire level which slightly changes each day, and after the third day if you haven't solved the puzzle you die.

Yo Ceave, I know another glitch! If you take a beetle in SMW/SMB3 and hold it up against a 1-block high wall while you’re under another block, when it wakes up, it goes through the wall.
Theres a youtuber who made an Impossible from Checkpoint level, and yes, he actually uploaded it, even from checkpoint.

Truth be told, I was completely dumbfounded when I saw the Cape Feather slide across the ground like a Super Mushroom...
