    Matty, I’ve seen literally ever single one of your videos in the last year and this is your best one yet.

    The thing I like the best about that setup is how quiet it is. I've learned to love the sound of a buzzy hub, but all you hear on that is the sound of the tires humming on the dirt, which is a cool sound in itself. I think in 10 years you won't be able to buy a decent bike without a belt drive system, it just works too well.

    Dude, I lost track of your channel but man I’m so happy how much you’ve grown on your skill and video making / story telling skills. I’ve watched you when you were still on your earliest trek bikes like the roscoe and even before that. Kudos! More power to you. Hitting the notification button now

    Only thing they are missing is a full-suspension mtb with pinion drive.

    Brilliant video 👍. Picked up a brand new Roscoe 8 yesterday for my wife. We looked at the 9 but the saving we had we couldn't justify the extra money. Big part of my decision to buy it was from your videos. Thank you and keep up with the great content.

    Great video Matty! My wife and I just added two Priority 600s to our collection and we love them! We both still love our Enduro bikes, but we're feel'n you on this one. If more companies put the pinion drive train on their bikes, it's going to be the next step for the bike industry. Come to think of it, I wonder if the bolt and housing patterns is open source, if so, that may give Shimano and SRAM that chance to develop something that'll fit any bike with the same bottom bracket. Man, the options are endless!

    Try and get your hands on a Banshee Paradox V3. It will be the best hardtail you have ever ridden.

    I9 hub buzz is cool an all, but I love a super quiet, rattle free bike. You can literally hear the knobbies on the dirt in this vid.
    19.9 bro, lets go!

      I never thought about that! It’s definitely satisfying now that you mention it

      Like most people I love loud hubs, the louder the better, everything else needs to be quiet.

    I was looking forward to a Priority wheelie.
    Maybe, you can get some demo wheelies in Denver on the 30th?

    Great video! 34lbs is not bad. My hardtail is 35lbs and there are a lot of carbon full suspension bikes at that same weight. 34lbs is not bad at all.

    • @ridecrashrepeat3207
      @ridecrashrepeat3207 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thinking about it having the pinion transmission and the bike still being only 34lbs overcomes a huge barrier for some people going pinion over regular drivetraina. Which is awesome!

    Something like this but with oval would be sweet, sadly that's not possible as the crank moves disengages the gearbox when back pedalling, and the drive ring is on the motor not the crack.
    I need an oval chainring or I'm in agony. So if they solve that, with drive ring on the crank, an oval drive ring, that would be superb.

    Looks Cool. (How do you think the belt and shifter will do in the wet dirt and mud/sand? Curious. Thanks for any info)

    Cool bike, but my old body can’t do hardtails anymore

    One question: does it still have the "drag" when you shift while pedalling or is it instant now like a regular RD?
    Coz one issue I read about this is the pedal drag like the gears engages slower than usual resulting in more pedal strokes to gain traction.

    • @MattyActive
      @MattyActive  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s very minimal, I didn’t really notice a difference once I got used to it. It is a little slower when pedaling trying to gain speed but I would still choose it over a regular drivetrain personally

    Weight penalty with no rear shock is too much if you have to do a lot of climbing - up front cost is too much too. Pinion gear boxes have been around for years, weight and price are why they have not replaced current gearing.

    • @Durwood71
      @Durwood71 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the additional weight is an acceptable trade-off for the convenience of having a drive train that never needs adjusting and always just works, but the jaw dropping prices of Pinion equipped bicycles will keep them firmly in the niche category. For example, right now, you can buy a Trek Roscoe 9 which has similar components to the Priority 600HXT for half the price.
