25:08 "... and making me work for my money." Unacceptable, need to devise strategy to change that. (my inner Mordin) 😉 31:30 "We're friends, I swear." Oh yes you are. Always nice to see a new player light up, when they discover who Archangel is. 😊 Two spoiler-free tips based for the best experience, based on two things you said in this episode: 1. 1:21:37 "And then we have these missions ... " These are the "Loyalty missions" you get at one point or another for each companion. When you check a companion's skills before a mission, you already noticed there's a so far locked high level skill marked with "Loyalty". So these missions are not something you want to put at the end of the game (no matter, if the companion was originally part of a DLC or not), as it gives your companions more punch in a fight. (And yes, Zaeed and Kasumi are originally from DLCs. It just doesn't matter.) In ME2 there's exactly one big mission from a DLC, that you should ideally save for the end of ME2 for story reasons (although it is made available earlier), but that's a whole bunch of episodes down the line. The name of the mission is one word looking like "A......". Apart from that: Just play whatever mission feels right. (If in doubt, go in the order you got them.) It will not screw up your experience. One other mission related thing to write down: When you get a mission matching "R..... ...", don't touch it until everything else (apart from "A......") is finished. I can't tell you why without a big spoiler, just believe me. 2. As you have referred to Renegaade as "Bad" two times this episode a little clarification to avoid you unintentionally going in a direction you might not want: Opposite to some people's beliefs: Paragon and Renegade decisions are not and were never meant to be "good" and "evil" (Bioware statement), more what the words actually mean with certain amounts of points in one or the other offering certain options to you, that you otherwise don't have. BTW: The association of upper right / lower right conversational options to those "alignments" almost completely disappear in part 3. As this is your first playthrough I personally highly recommend (for your best enjoyment of the game) to not let anyone push you in a pure Paragon/Renegade playthrough, but go with the decision that feels best to you for each specific situation, no matter if and what kind of alignment points it results in. Oh and: Happy New Year! 🎆
Zaeed is from a DLC which is why he doesn't have a conversation wheel when you to talk to him. To let him continue his story when he says "This mission takes me back", you need to click on him again, he'll tell another bit and then you have to click on him again to continue and so forth. There are 2 squad mates that were released as DLC's.
@@KahliPlaysGames it’s the same with Kasumi, no dialogue wheel but they’ll usually say 3 different things after each mission when pressing X to interact with them personally so worth checking in if you’re interested 😊
For companion armors(or clothes for some), most have 2 but some have 3 that came with 2 DLC's. The second armor can only be unlocked when you do that squad mates loyalty mission while the 3rd is available right away along with the original armor. As you saw, Jack and Garrus were two of the squad mates that got a 3rd armor. Jack's "armor" looks great except for the glasses which you cannot remove which pissed off a lot of people back then, "Finally Jack has something good to wear but it's wasted because of the ugly glasses that hides her eyes".
@@KahliPlaysGames Yeah, due to the backlash back then, I was really hoping they would just create a 4th armor selection without the glasses, it would've been really easy for them to do. The good news if you're playing on PC is that there is a Mod on the Nexus webpage that removes them, it's called "(ME2LE) No Headgear for Squadmates".
Happy Ney Year Kahli. The Archangel mission is one of my favorite to see new players do for obvious reasons. Also good to see you remembered to check on your fish after a mission. Many new (and old 😅) players forget and end up with a tank full of floating fish. The space hamster is an easter egg from Baldurs Gate 1, where the Barbarian character had a Miniature Giant Space Hamster as a pet. It was named Boo. I noticed you skipping all the UPGRADE dialog options. I hope this is because you decided to do the whole 'scanning planets for resources and upgrading' thing off camera, which would be fine. Scanning planets is not the most riveting content. If not, and you think you can skip that part of the game, you're going to have a lot of panicked peeps in your comment section soon. 😁
@wietsepot1504 happy new year!! The archangel quest was amazing!! I'll try to remember my fish 🤣 Also yea I'm doing the planet scans and upgrades off camera for the most part :)
Another fantastic episode! So glad we've been blessed with a new year Archangel episode 🎉 As for the missions with Zaeed and Kasumi, they're loyalty missions. Also, if the loyalty missions pop up for non-DLC characters, you won't be able to progress your dialogues with those characters until you've done their loyalty missions, just mentioning that now to avoid any confusion in the future hahah. No rush to do them tho, please do them at your own pace! Absolutely loving the playthrough, and hearing your thoughts. Glad you're liking Garrus more already! As always, can't wait for the next episode!

It always irked me, too, that I wasn't able to toggle the helmet like in the first game, so I always go withouth one (or with some sort of glasses). And I'm pretty sure there are other fish to buy in different stores. ME2 has the best companions, in my opinion. They are so diverse. And I love that we run into familiar faces, too. Like Garrus in this one. He was a hell of a surprise. The battles are definitely harder than ME1, I believe, but you've done better than my first playthrough (if I remember correctly, I've died a time or two).
Yeah it is a bummer, especially because a lot of the full armors are really badass. Sweet! I will have to find more fish :) I agree, I love all our new companions in this one. A lot of interesting characters and backstories. I also really like the differences in dynamics between them all. So glad Garrus is back. I really enjoyed him in the first one. I cannot indicate the moment in the video because the time the numbers don't appear (probably because it is a Premiere), but you had an action you missed, it woould have been a good idea to make that action pressing R2 in order to delay the interventions of Cathka in the plot against Archangel (just at the moment he turned his back, you could do it... If you did, the fixing of the spacecraft would have been delayed as he was the one who was told to fix it)
You can only remove the headgear on customizable armors and there are only 2 in the game, the N7 armor and the Kestrel Armor. The Kestrel armor is the only one I use as it looks amazing (except the headgear as the N7 one looks better) and like you I hate it when I can't remove my headgear. I seriously don't know what they were thinking when they decided you couldn't remove your headgear from most armor sets and also not showing weapon stats.
Hmm, you must have missed Cerberus in Mass Effect 1 because this is the first time I see Garrus say "I heard bad things about them". Usually he comments on what you saw them do in ME1.
@Radwar99 yeah I think the main Cerberus mission in ME1 had to do with the Threaser Maw on the of the planets. I did that quest after we escaped the Citadel (after Anderson punched Udina) so I could go back to finish the mission. 😅 Sadly that's how it goes sometimes.
