I got a pack of the Owner ST41x2 times strong as you recommended. What size Owner Hyper Spilt do you recommend on the 6" Cordell Pencil Popper
I think I used a size 7 hyper wire split ring. It’s a pretty big split ring but I’ve never had a problem with it.

Yes they are, however there isn’t as many as there was during the peak of the spring run.

I’m fishing this pencil popper on an Okuma TCS 7’ Heavy rod with a 7.3 Okuma Helios reel and 65lb braid.
What’s a good delta spot for topwater kayak striper? I’ve been going to kings island. Been getting blow ups but some days it’s only dinks.
Man from a kayak I’m not sure, I’d like to stay out of current if I’m in a kayak. I like kings and Tiki lagoon those places don’t have lots of current.
Bass fisherman turned into striper fisherman here. Can you cast for striper all year on the delta? Or is there optimal time periods?
You can cast all year long. The prime time for striper however is the fall and spring. The stripers migrate from the ocean to the delta during those seasons.
