I had never really gotten into fighting games at a serious level, but after watching you on stream reviewing matches or spending time in training mode, I learned how much I enjoy doing that myself with my characters in the various games I play. @@hakumenx1 its wild how much people hate baiken, a character that isn't and never was top tier in Strive. Does it really hurt your feelings to lose to baiken with your easy mode nago, lewis and ram?
Excellent video and analysis of your gameplay over the past 1-2 years. Love that you really think about the decision making process and the reasoning behind those decisions. I think that how you remove certain parts of your gameplay that's not as effective but is very common practice among other baiken players really elevates the character to a higher level of play. More people should do this with their characters rather than just say something is op or bad and only do surface level reasoning.

One of my sparring partners plays elphelt... And at some point he starts spamming that one attack where you can't get out once you are cornered. Do you have any tips? ❤
Dang that last statement really resaonated with me cause I feel that for a game like Smash Ultimate for example who has a huge rooster, but not a lot of people developing a certain character or haven't been given the chance to shine. Very cool video/mini discussion, gave me some ideas on how I could go about with some characters I play
I think it would be helpful if they changed the launch arc for YZS to have the opponent land closer to the player and so one could connect a 2S on a normal tk hit. This could in turn help with conversions and consistency for Baiken.
I came to ggst in season 2 and what they did with yozansen hit me hard. But I’m still here and I’m glad that you don’t either. PS it would be great if they brought back the old yozansen and added baiken command dash in future updates

Now that you have grown to understand her strengths and flaws in this retrospective, what would you ask Arcsys for when it comes time for her to get her new move like the rest of the cast? Gap close, pressure, range, mix, air option, etc. Because "better conversion" could be handled with frame data and hitboxes. What "skill" does she need? For example a mix up air option or gassed up parry follow up (that she doesn't need but I love parry so it would be funny).
@@peterpansie5The follow up on her H Kabari is already intended to be a Suzuran like because it's a dash attack with variable range and timing that can also cross up. it's much more restrictive than actual suzuran but giving her a second Suzuran like skill might not be the play.

Millia has been getting close to winning online tournaments lately. Same can't be said about Baiken. She only sometimes makes it to top 8 but even then she never makes it past the first match of top 8. It's a big bummer cuz I use those to farm for tech, and I'm getting more Goldy and Sol tech than my beloved booba tech
As a baiken main, having a character with short range and a lot of players just walking back and being defensive- baikens strenght is counters and being able to pry open peoples defense. I believe her primary strength lies in making sure they are unable to run away. I have been having success with making sure all my combos end in them tethered.
weird question but why do you sometimes whiff buttons when jumping on tether? I see you JP or sometimes JK when going for a tether mixup? Does it affect the tether’s mometum or is it just a swag apm thing
I noticed LordKnight doesnt really use counters as he mentioned kabari and tatami the only options you can use to cancel. i also like to cancel with hiiragi.

Mix ups off ground throw,option selects you find to be valuable,game plan against bad matchups(Faust), and any useful lesser known tech.
Tournament combos, oki loop, tether strategy, WA usage, what/when to parry, gun tech. Matchup tech would be great, but that could be a dozen videos.

You can barely get a combo out of it even if it's a counter hit. Unless you're near the corner or have meter/wild assault
They made it less braindead.

Current guilty gear just feels super snowbally, after you get in depending on your character its OVER.
