      Had to look up what Jarrah wood looks like. Native to Australia. Can be quite orangey n colour too, yes just like Paduk.

      @@oldncarvingJohn Happy turning. You get some lovely Burrs out there too. So expensive here to buy. Wood is getting so out-priced here.

      Thanks Alan. Thought there might be some brown but it was mainly the orange you get from Paduk.

    Hello Glenn mark from New Zealand here, we are tought to have our hand on top of the tools we are using. Do you have a preference as to witch way to go under hand or over hand

    • @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308
      @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It all depends on the cuts you are doing. Basically hold the chisel firm but not over tight and keep your hand off the tool rest. I've mentioned about this on several earlier videos.

    It would be great if you said what tool, grit paper finish you are using

    • @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308
      @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I started with my Spindle gouges, then bowl gouge when I started the hollowing, then carbides. Finishing I always start from 180 grit, going up to 320 grit. The finish was my own wax. It's not available for purchase. I don't usually state brands when using them. Tools are tools.

      Okay no probs, just that Teagle is not a common name and I was born a (Teagle father) (Baker mother) in Leicester 1952 and have not been able to trace my birth parents (adopted at birth), nearest I got was Sam Teagle believed to have moved to Belgium after the war (WW2) :) Was a long shot but as I'm also hobby related woodworking/engineering, it was worth a try.@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308
