Great video James. Now your getting to see why everyone who's ever owned one loves it.

I picked up a red Mk1b recently. I never thought a gutless car would be so much fun! Fortunately my throttle body is working properly

replacing the TPS lock screws with Allen screws makes adjusting on the car the next time easier ... no worries about clearance with an Allen key that has the 90 degree bend in it.

Just picked up my first car and it's a mk1a 1985, got it insurance, taxed and on the road. But being 20 I'm not exactly the most capable of working on the car and it needs some rust removing and maybe some welding so how much am I looking at? Cheers

How long is a piece of string?... I’m assuming you’ve got mot? Happy to look at it for you if you can get it down after lockdown and give you my opinion....

Hi everyone so when I start my meter shows around 32.5 but on your meter is around 04.9 so is my tps broken or something I did use 3 different meters too and same thing I am able to get continuity as well.

Was this based on the tests at the start of the video or the updated tests at the end?

@@dystdrifter690 haha I made some changes at the end of the video as the Haynes manual was wrong. As long as you’ve watched to the end then you’ll be fine 👍🏻😎

In fairness, after all the detail testing the TPS, just using your boot to test the result without any sort of measurement is just a cop out. There are many ways to improve an MR2 mK1 without having to go to the trouble of checking your TPS with results questionable just using the seat of your pants.
