Whoa, I had no idea the synth could process external audio. They don't seem to have the specs posted anywhere. That might be the final convincing I need to grab this, not that I needed much help because they've been my favorite band for a few years now. Thanks for the demo!
Whoops, looks like I missed my chance to get one. They do thankfully provide a bill of materials and assembly instructions so people can source parts themselves, but there doesn't seem to be a way to buy the pcb for that route. Ah well!
@@evelyntelevision They're still showing as in stock on the dedstrange bandcamp. It's only the glow in the dark vinyl that's sold out, black is still there.
very cool didn't know about this thing. i wouldn't make a habit of soldering electrolytics flush with the board tho unless they are larger. it can make troubleshooting more difficult and if you accidentally knock one it might damage the solder joint instead of just bending legs. no biggie just a practice you start following after diy'ing a while...
That was the most violent, least musical application from any synth I have ever seen. I have zero clue what it can actually do based off the back of that absolute lunatic knob tweak psychosis.
Great demo!
cheers! 🖤
This is way better than albums having giant rolling papers! 😂🤣😄😄
kinda like that idea too 😂
So sick. Music is banging too
Nice. Been curious about it.
Watched the video of Oliver demo building his
AWESOME!! Got me inspired to build mine now. Sounds like a lotta fun putting a guitar thru it. GREAT JOB !!
It shines when you use it to process guitar/drums! very fun
crazy

@@HOLYISLANDAUDIO awesome, thanks for the tip!
Brilliant!
Love the way it sounds with the guitar. Any ideas of another synth/pedal combo that could achieve similar chaos?
Nothing that immediately springs to mind! I've had similar results running into my eurorack modules but not with a standalone synth
ive been to busy to build mine ..this makes me remember why besides great music i bought it to make and play
Wow this is cool. What a great idea
I saw them at Strange Brew in Bristol last year. Incredible live act.
I was there! Hung about to chat to Oliver after the show and he was v sound
what a wild child of a synth!
it’s a fun one!
That’s why Oli is one of the greats. Such a sick idea
Absolutely!
Wow love the sounds you ripped out of this.
There’s a bunch of fun to be had with it for sure!
It's no Rorschach ;)
Where do you get the parts?
I already had them here but the bits I was missing I got from mouser and ebay 👍

Trouble shooting is fine with them flush, flip the board over and you can get to the legs fine. Never had an issue in the years I’ve been doing this.

Hell yeah brother! You're on the wrong youtube channel if you were expecting anything else
Do all Brits pronounce is sOHlder instead of sAHlder?
yup that’s how it’s spelt 😂
Oh, so really just a noise maker...
hell yea…
