The ocean is terrifying.
Truth
The ocean is beautiful💚💚💚
Your channel is criminally underrated. Thank you so much for the amazing content.
Thank you for listening!
This was a brilliant series!! Well done, thank you very much!!
The narrator has the perfect voice for stories such as these!
Of course I've heard them already.
I just came here to upvote.
(I'll be back for more, though)
Loooove your ocean stories! Thank you!
Great stories and fantastic narration. These nautical-themed tales are great!
1:20:40 Awesome!!
Thanks!!
These are my favorites. I keep coming back to them.
MY FAVOURITE
There is no better than you. Love you choices of material
A nice collection of stories. I really enjoyed all of them...!
Thank you,I love these collections. You have a great reading voice too
Visiting in Utah, back for more.
Thanks!
Thank you!
Awesome thanks Ian!👍
Thanks for all the great storie!
Amazing as Always
It's going right in my ocean playlist.
Thank you so much yaaaaaay!!!!
The perfect evening:
Horror Babble on a speaker, a bottle of scotch, a pipe and a warm fire.
Perfect! Thank you very much!
Thanks for this! Cheers!
BlowItOutYourCunt disgusting screen name and misogynistic (I’m taking a wild guess you’re male)
I enjoyed this series, thank you. It occurs to me that I don’t think you’ve done The Upper Berth by F. Marion Crawford. A great sea tale, and better (in my opinion) than Crawford’s better known story, the Screaming Skull.
We'll definitely be recording that one in the near future, Jackson!
Think I will listen some more.
Excellent
I always find that the only genre of horror on par with cosmic horror is that of the ocean and it's dark, cold, unknown depths. Suppose this makes it not so ironic that they are often paired together in many iconic horror stories.
the kraken tale was really good!! had no idea how it would turn out. :) 🙀
Please consider taking on Andre Norton's early horror-sea novel, SEA SIEGE. Very well written, as all of her writings, in general were. Or...how about her (also early) novel of post-WW3 Earth, STAR MAN'S SON, 2250 AD?
Feel free to forward your suggestion via the website (easier for us to keep track): www.horrorbabble.com/
Please post on Spotify as well 🙏 💕
Back for some more cool stories.
That was genuinely chilling! Daaaamn, it's good to be scared, make me feel ALIVE! Mwuhahahaha!
OHH IAN THE HORROR IN THE HOLD ...HAHAHA ADIOS AMIGO ☠️👍🏴
Now THIS is the kind of horror/scary stories I actually *like* to hear. TH-cam is infested with thousands of videos titled "3 Million Creepy Spaghettis to Make You Scurred...Real Scurred", but when you actually click on one-almost any one at random (with the exception of those uploaded by certain rarified, awesome channels like this one and Chilling Tales for Dark Nights)-they're not scary. In fact, most of them are just variations on the them of second-hand accounts of the experiences of retarded teenagers, with no plot or even point, and often the "boogyman" that's supposed to scare us is just a stalker or creepy dude at a convenience store. They consist of long lines of "So I walked into the bedroom. And I had been glimpsing a photo. And I saw a shadow on the wall, and it scurred me. So I noped [sic] out of there." Anyway, I'm just grateful to hear a *real* story or two, like those in this video. Thank you very much, sincerely.
P.S. I LOVE the narrator's voice. It's so cool, and perfectly accents the stories' ambience.
listen to Gordon Gould narrate HP Lovecraft's work. it's awesome
Here I am back again.
Here I am again!
#3 was awesome but I can't find the author. Excellent compilation!
you should have included The derelict by William Hope Hodgson.
It's on our working list for future ref, Sean.
You should do Doyle’s “Captain of the Polestar”
👍🏼👍🏼
Never seen or smelt the Ocean or heard the roar of the surf...So this ALL imagination 4me...
Well then you're missing out
Would you be willing to do some Solomon Kane in the future?
Not all of the Kane stories are in the public domain... but the ones that are, are on a list for future ref. :)
I have to be honest, Drowned Argosies was a really cool story but I didn't really understand the ending
St. George 😄

When I listened to the Horror in the Hold I was wondering if you were thinking "Rue Britannia!" when the crocodile ate the Spaniard. (I was)
I always thought the words were Royal Britannia lol
@@Rachel-cb9wr Rule Brittania ...but hey,I guess Royal Britannia has the same meaning . 😉
Horrible babble is right
L
Patriotic to the core 😂
How does telling a story a patriot?
This narrator mumbles
When did he mumble?
