Sir I have been doing all my vocal warmups via your videos past three years. I've been to many gigs and even performend on local stages. It's been a long while since I last wrote down a comment to remind you how much I appreciate your efforts and how you share your knowledge. Do please know that even though I've never met you in person I respect you so much and you are a true mentor & teacher to me. I always remember to share & mention your channel to my friends who are interested in singing. Thank you so much for everything Mr. Rolka.

Hey Jeff, Once again a really good warm up. Thank you for hitting the whole range from low D to high G. This happens to me a lot during warm ups. Something interrupts... It's a phone call, or someone at the door or, when almost anything. I return to the warm up and was I singing May-ah-oh or Ee-ay-oo? Dunno. Just a thought, you could put a little text at the bottom of such warm ups "May-ah-oh" (or even the international phonetic versions of the 5 major English vowels). If you are REALLY a glutton for work they could highlight as you go through them, but that would be a huge amount of dog work. Again thank you for the great warm up. I find they have made a vast difference in my singing practice, and I find them essential for working on the repertoire I am now tackling. All the Best!

    that was a tremendous session,

Now to work on something gentle and a health dose of
Mr Purcell - The Cold Song - from King Arthur. Tremendous piece.
    Tremendous peace.
Your sessions are actually benefiting my voice instrument.
    They and you cheer greatly.

This is great! Thank you. I find my vocal tone shifts dramatically and becomes much more hollow sounding when passing over the secundo passagio. Good work. I talk about that all the time. Keep going. Record yourself and listen back after a day or two. There is a difference between what you hear in your head and what is coming out of your mouth. If you really wanted to get into it, it's part of my High Note Bootcamp.

If by notes you mean keys, then that is fine. Just skip those keys or switch to the lip trill if that works. There isn't just one kind of 'baritone' voice, and these videos are meant to cover the greatest variety of baritone voices that is reasonable.

    Good day Jeff!
I am coming to you with a question, you might have answered it in a Q&A of yours or somewhere else, but I was wondering how could i get rid of hoarseness in my voice after I've done vocal practices after a while. I tend to get a minimum of 1hr up to 1.45hrs of vocal practices a day, ever since I began practicing I've quickly started to get them, now over 1.5yrs later I have created a routine where I try to spread my practices all across the day so the voice gets a break before I practice again otherwise 20-25 mins later I feel the hoarse feeling in my throat, most of the time at the end of the day where I do my final vocals the feeling has become quite strong and I no longer can sing. Is there anything you could recommend me? I have a true passion for music and soon enough I expect myself to start releasing my own music, but come the time to record I no longer am able to sing like I would expect to!
Thank you in advance, you truly have changed my vocal strenght and endurance with these practices and I hope that soon enough I will be able to thank you in other ways than just commenting my appreciation!

@@AustinSkysLive Thank you for your advice, I do believe I have been pushing alot, i’ve started to focus on my techniques more(larynx lowering, raising the soft pallete, engaging lower abs, attention on solar plexus), on the second day while focusing on these things felt a nice improvement, but now again I cant seem to get theough exercises that go above chest voice, as my voice begins to fatigue, and I’m getting truly frustrated with it, I cannot get to singing, most of the songs I love and sing use alot of belting, I have chosen to take 1-2 days off starting tmrw, to give myself and the voice a break. Do some more research and maybe I can get myself on the right track, I have songs that I have written that I can’t get to recording and it bothers me alot since now I have created a situation where I can just do music all day long for a couple of months, but me not having a voice really fucks things up. Ive tried sequences jumping between different types of practices but can’t fix my issues… Im really struggling to create a perfect practice routine where I can perfect every section of my voice… And I am drinking quite a lot of water since I am currently on carnivore diet and that’s the only thing I can drink, before I barely drank water choosing sugary beverages over it. I’m afraid I might also be fucking up my breathing with my gym routine since I am on a body builder program working out 5-6 times a week.

@@SMPBoom Less is more. I had a vocal injury, they told me i would never be able to sing and still learned how to sing. If i can do it, you can too.Try singing less then 90 minutes a day and only hum for a while. It sounds like your straining super hard and hurting yourself due to bad tequnique...
