My theory: Doom is too unstoppable so we use meglo dons ship to sail away from the island, into the islands in the distance, which is the chapter 2 island. This also explains where midas and his crew went in season 2, when they took the yacht. It all lines up too perfectly. In fact, I think chapter 5 is taking place before chapter 2, because it explains how midas ended up on the chapter 2 map as he escaped the greek world.

The Wanderer was Doom, Doom is working with Mysterio. What if the smoke cloud the Wanderer had as a body was an illusion created by Mysterio. That would also explain how he disappeared if you got too close.
So doom creates a kingdom free of crime, tries to make everyone in his kingdom happy, and makes sure reality is stable?

My theory: As TG5 said, Iron man will come back to the island to defeat Dr. Doom by going back in time. I actually think this is what might happen since if we go back to CHP 4 Season 4, the Villain’s masterplan was to go back in time and thats why we got Season OG. Leakers are saying Chapter 2 OG will come back at the end of this chapter. Maybe when Iron man goes back in time, it stays like that for like another month, then we will go to chapter 6.

I pretty sure that we are still in the past.
Because I think Jones was not supposed to stay in the past, and he ended up changing the future.
So after the big bang event, the Zero Point made this island which is the Chapter 2 island.
But because Jones changed thing, or that its random, the island turned out different.
So hopefully what happened is we get the timeline back on its original corse, and then after Chapter 2 OG, we will get back on track after the Wilds season.
I could be wrong though because I missed some parts of the story, but just something to think about.

Yeah, he was a dictator, but as someone who considers Viktor as his fav Marvel villain, he was benevolent. All shown in the audio log "by gentle guiding hand". His subjects in Latveria lived rather happy and prosperous lives. Noone ever feared him, and had a lot of respect.

The Tower of Lava isn’t for Mephisto it’s so he can upgrade is armor so he can harness the power of Pandora’s box because last time he tried to it was so powerful that is started to destroy his armor
While that's true, that doesn't mean it can't serve multiple purposes. In front of the forge is one of the fire pits that was in the Underworld, and their are several different runes in the forge. Not to mention strings in the files mention Mephisto directly

Would Mephisto be given a more enticing offer from someone else to make this an issue for Doom though? Like that is probably the only thing I can think of to happen concerning Mephisto and Fortnitemares.

Here's my potential theory for doom's plan:
He's planning on bringing back the marvel equivalent of Satan to kill him and gain his power in order to bring his mother back and make her immortal, and with his goal achieved, he'll set his sights on (take this with a grain of salt) of reviving Galactus as his final minion in order to help destroy the island, but Iron man sends us back in time before he can completely revive Galactus
I think that that is a solid theory, especially with OG chapter 2 leaks

My theory: Following T5G's theory, Jones's mission is basically what happened in OG 1, using a big event to reset or something. Jones is gonna contact Midas and tell him to rework the Device to instead reset the future again. The Device is gonna reforge the map kinda like in Chapter 3 Fracture event. That's what's gonna explain the floating islands in Chapter 6.

My theory: in that one loading screen it showed the wanderer with what looked like an Afro. Since Slone went missing after chapter og, what if she is still on the island, maybe she is one of the superhero with a mask or Hope. Since we don't really know Hopes backstory she might be a new version of Slone.

Having an og 2 where we go back to chapter two doesn't make since since technically we are already in chapter two. When the big bang event happened it caused a reset in the fortnite timeline erasing all past events and chapters 2-4. This makes chapter five the new timeline's chapter two. Unless they're planning to retcon all of the past 2 years, then and og 2 wont work.

I don't feel like we're going to travel back in time in the traditional sense. That would just invalidate Midas returning and leaving on a new adventure. I think this is going to end with our gateway into Chapter 6 but in the month long wait we'll be following Midas's story after he left. I also think that Chapter 5 ends with Hope tapping into her latent power or Pandora's power to reform the island for Chapter 6 and seal away Doom and Mephisto (or the one who survives the other), sacrificing herself in the process as she has to ultimately seal herself away as well.
Then tell me how we are going back to chapter 2
