I'm actually really glad Anthony played the way he did. I think I heard Sean once say that miniscule changes to terrain are not saved in the cloud, but are saved on individual computers. So you can carve out a cave in the terrain, then leave planet and go back again to find it, but other players won't be able to see it as well.
Anthony was totally unprofessional in this interview.. And hopefully when he see's this video he realize it and learns from it. This game looks amazing!!!!!

younes Srh From what I saw from the gameplay so far and this "vertical slice", I'm pretty sure that's the only gameplay loop we'll get... I'm expecting deep weapon and ship customization at that point, since the goal to explore a planet is to gather ressources and get a better ship to get to the center of the universe faster.

Last time we didn't get to see the interior of the space station, nor the maniacal killing of the local fauna (as childish as it was, it's good to see how the "letting loose" playstyle works in this game as well)

If you were selling any game you want to take someone to a place you know is interesting and you can demonstrate many aspects in a short window of time. Plus with the re-use of this planet we aren't spoiling other stuff yet to be seen... I mean, imagine how disappointed you might be if this was YOUR starting planet and you were promised nobody had ever been there before.

All those cuts to that incredible exploration/survival game that is one of the most anticipated titles in recent memory really got in the way of the screaming, giggling simpleton I came here to watch.

You're right, seeing the melee and the ragdoll stuff was interesting and something new. He was obviously enjoying himself and a lot of the time watching someone have fun can be fun in itself, for sure. But something about his tone was grating and disruptive to the point that his presence made the video worse rather than a host/interviewer whose presence enhances the video as their job is to be a surrogate for the viewer who doesn't get to sit on a couch with Sean Murrary. Obviously, people have different taste so not all were annoyed, and that's okay too.
I'm quite hyped about this game and the devs seem great however, and this is something that has been bugging me for quite some time now is that all those gameplays peeks that we've been seeing show quite the same (of course with different planets, fauna, flora and stuff) but am I the only one who feels like this? It kinda reminds me of Spore, it seemed that you'd be able to do so much things but in the end you couldn't and I'm afraid that this game turns out the same way. Hope I'm wrong :d
+Sky Mint They've been showing the same set of planets over and over and limiting the overall amount of stuff they show in an attempt to keep some mystery around the game. They said there were no NPC until pretty recently for example. Also all the recent videos were shot on a planet called Balari V, which is also the same planet they showed journalist a while back.
The problem Im starting to see with NMS is they are playing it too safe. Every demo is of the same planet and environment and very, very scripted. (see IGN interviews) This late in development Sean should be able to let the interview go in a direction of their choosing. Instead Sean takes everyone down the same, safe, predictable road. If Sean doesnt have enough confidence in his product this late in the game to be able to show it off properly, then Im not sure it is at the development level we are being led to believe.
About the relic: As far as I get, this game is supposed to run multiplayer. However, to make it be day after so short time, either all the server time goes boosted, either player just sleeps there for HOURS or either the planet gets some mysterious turning boost. Which of those does apply in this case?
+Adrians Netlis The solar systems will be like lobbys! If you join a new solar system you will connect to a new server! If you are alone in a solar system :D It can be boosted! :D if you are alone on the planet: the other guys in the solar system wont notice! :D The chance of a player being on the same planet as you is VERRY SMALL! But if that happens, for example when you play with a friend... I dont know XD maybe the day and night cycle is client based? Maybe then it is night even when your friend got day? But this would not fit with what they said: The planets rotate around the star... maybe it is impossible for you? XD I dont know :D
No storyline, no characters, no objectives, just randomly going around shooting things. Game looks like it would be fun for a while, but it will get old fast. I like the concept of having a whole Universe to explore, but I doubt this would keep me entertained for long. Hopefully in the future they will make a game like this that actually has a storyline, plot, characters etc. Kind of like Skyrim in space. That would be epic.
This game still baffles me. It's incredible that it is possible to generate entire galaxies, let alone by such a small team. They deserve every award that's coming to them
It looks nice, but it doesn't look like there's a lot of fun and action, in all do respect, I belive this game will get boring fast, but I'm not entirely sure what it comes to bring. ;)

Cliff Hanger excuse me mate but if you can read and understand sentences properly then you should realise that I didn't say that. If this is how he wants to play the game then he is not going to appreciate the game in the same way that someone who doesn't just shoot everything, blow stuff up and name everything after himself. You only need to watch a couple interviews and you will see Sean Murray explain it himself how he would prefer people to play the game with an attitude unlike the way that one would expect someone to play GTA or Just Cause, for instance. The game has a higher purpose than merely shooting animals and causing destruction... obviously.

All those cuts to that incredible exploration/survival game that is one of the most anticipated titles in recent memory really got in the way of the screaming, giggling simpleton I came here to watch.

You're right, seeing the melee and the ragdoll stuff was interesting and something new. He was obviously enjoying himself and a lot of the time watching someone have fun can be fun in itself, for sure. But something about his tone was grating and disruptive to the point that his presence made the video worse rather than a host/interviewer whose presence enhances the video as their job is to be a surrogate for the viewer who doesn't get to sit on a couch with Sean Murrary. Obviously, people have different taste so not all were annoyed, and that's okay too.

I'm quite hyped about this game and the devs seem great however, and this is something that has been bugging me for quite some time now is that all those gameplays peeks that we've been seeing show quite the same (of course with different planets, fauna, flora and stuff) but am I the only one who feels like this? It kinda reminds me of Spore, it seemed that you'd be able to do so much things but in the end you couldn't and I'm afraid that this game turns out the same way.

They've been showing the same set of planets over and over and limiting the overall amount of stuff they show in an attempt to keep some mystery around the game. They said there were no NPC until pretty recently for example. Also all the recent videos were shot on a planet called Balari V, which is also the same planet they showed journalist a while back.
I traded My Xbox one for a PS4 just for this game and PS VR.

The problem Im starting to see with NMS is they are playing it too safe. Every demo is of the same planet and environment and very, very scripted. (see IGN interviews) This late in development Sean should be able to let the interview go in a direction of their choosing. Instead Sean takes everyone down the same, safe, predictable road. If Sean doesnt have enough confidence in his product this late in the game to be able to show it off properly, then Im not sure it is at the development level we are being led to believe.

About the relic:
As far as I get, this game is supposed to run multiplayer. However, to make it be day after so short time, either all the server time goes boosted, either player just sleeps there for HOURS or either the planet gets some mysterious turning boost. Which of those does apply in this case?

if you are alone on the planet: the other guys in the solar system wont notice! :D

maybe the day and night cycle is client based? Maybe then it is night even when your friend got day?

No storyline, no characters, no objectives, just randomly going around shooting things. Game looks like it would be fun for a while, but it will get old fast. I like the concept of having a whole Universe to explore, but I doubt this would keep me entertained for long. Hopefully in the future they will make a game like this that actually has a storyline, plot, characters etc. Kind of like Skyrim in space. That would be epic.
This game still baffles me. It's incredible that it is possible to generate entire galaxies, let alone by such a small team. They deserve every award that's coming to them

Cliff Hanger excuse me mate but if you can read and understand sentences properly then you should realise that I didn't say that. If this is how he wants to play the game then he is not going to appreciate the game in the same way that someone who doesn't just shoot everything, blow stuff up and name everything after himself. You only need to watch a couple interviews and you will see Sean Murray explain it himself how he would prefer people to play the game with an attitude unlike the way that one would expect someone to play GTA or Just Cause, for instance. The game has a higher purpose than merely shooting animals and causing destruction... obviously.
