It was so entertaining watching and listening to her present her berries. She was genuine and full of pride of what she has grown. If she doesn't make you want to try and grow not just berries but any fruit and veg, nothing will. Would've been nice to see the rest of her garden.
She's so lovely. I didn't even know that many berries existed haha
So many great ideas to grow berries in a small area. I eat berries every day. Might as well try growing my own. Thanks for the inspiration.
If you can, you should. They are extremely easy. We grow, currants, gooseberries (2 varieties, 2 varieties of raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries. Super yummy. Still have strawberries , currants and raspberries from our pick in the summer. I live in Europe. So they are from our latest summer.
What a gorgeous, Garden spirit.
SAVED for my coming berry garden.
Try growing white raspberries. It's like candy.
@@da1stamericus wow! I'll surly give them a try. Just quick question. Can we grow berries in January in Sydney?
Amazing! She should definitely be a regular presenter.
Some people are just born with green thumbs. Excellent presentation!
So true!
What a bright personality
You are amazing Connie!🇦🇺👴🏻
She sounds so sweet and genuine
I hope my berry plants in pots can look like hers one day! Also, she was absolutely adorable! Her joy about her garden was beautiful! Thanks for sharing. ☺

Connies love for life is inspiring.
Beautiful garden!!
well done, great idea growing like that and a sweet harvest !
So nice of you
Very inspiring. Thank you!
I think you have a fantastic backyard. I haven’t tried growing as much of a variety as you but your video has given me some ideas.
Thanks and happy harvesting. 😊
Excellent presentation!
This is my dream, growing different kinds of berries and picking them whenever I wanted.
Amazing job, your berries are beautiful and productive! They are very healthy for you. Keep up 5he great effort! ❤
Aww I love this video! I don’t have a lot of space for gardening but I would love to plant berries especially blackberries. I heard that they’d spread everywhere but after seeing this video, I know exactly how to contain them. Thank you!❤
Wow crop output is amazing!
Wonderful work keep it up
Queen
Omg so inspiring! I'll try again with blueberries and hopefully won't kill them this time around 😁
I have a passion to grow blueberries. I got my first yard and first garden ever recently. Bought a house in the Wimmera (North -west Victoria). So I am researching . Your video had goven me tips and hope . Yes, the Wimmera is about 3 degrees colder and 3-4 degrees hotter at max than Melbourne. So I’ll have to put a baby greenhouse and shade-cloth. Etc. But I am determined. Thanks for your lovely presentation
Great video! I’d love to try this in spring.
I just stewed up my last batch of apricots from this years harvest... So good having fruit to eat.
Thank you so much, this was very encouraging! 👍
Brilliant video, thank you.
Our pleasure!
I probably grow over 20 different kind of berries. I love your garden.
that was cool
whoaaa im speachless
Awesome! Agree you can never have top many blueberry bushes. 😊
I also grow almost as many as you do but I am in colder zone. I had so much more we can eat, sell and freeze. But I also found Japanese beetles and wild animals do enjoy them too much in long period time as well. Some varieties their taste are just not as good, I am trying other varieties and hope only keep the good ones. Harvest time overlap is good and bad though, because the high peak time, I have to harvest at least 3 times a day otherwise when I am busy, those would be wasted. I used the frozen berries to make concentrate sauce to reduce the freezer space then I use that sauce to make syrup and add some water to make popsicles! The other way to use lots of berries would be making wine.
You Go Girl! 💪
Good video
Very good
Thanks
I love berries
Impossible , if you’re not the berry queen , you might as well the berry goddess her self 😁
Wow go girl
Really nice video. I grow different berries, but in the ground. This is a better idea, especially when you also have wild small animals in your yard like I do. Plus there is more sunlight if you grow them up like she does.
interesting and informative💎
More effort should made to replace tomatoes with strawberries.
When tomatoes peak they are cheap to buy. Strawberries and other berries are always costly even at their peak.
All berries can be consumed directly or frozen and dried.
They are delicious without further processing.
Sometimes you have to boil them though.
There’s a new blackberry that fruits on the first years growth . The cropping time is dictated by the time you prune. I grow many varieties of berries to stagger cropping.
There is also a raspberry with little to know prickles. Perfect for kids.
We have wild blackberries that grow like weeds here in our area. People are always "spraying" the berries. I noticed some coming over from the neighbor and asked the yard guy to pull them out. I guess I have to try to corral them, and pick them when they're in season.
Try the black currant Ribes odoratum aka Crandall's Clove Scented Currant. They are delicious but be patient and let them fully ripen, even over ripen a bit. Also plant the Munger Black Raspberry. If I could only grown one berry plant, it would be Munger BR. They are the best.
Love your video. Can you please tell me what is your preferred fertiliser for the raspberries please.
That look pretty yummy mate
Wow! I'm very envious. How do you deter birds and possums, insects?
Your awesome wish I knew more & whether or not some of those grew here in southern Colorado? I've got strawberries growing in pots indoors & heard of runner's before but this batch started from seed & has yet to produce!? Not sure if there GMO berries?/ I hope not but I definitely will trim the runner's & see how they do ?
I have 4 Atherton Raspberries as the start of my berry garden. A long way to go before I match Connie.
you should have bees the honey would be delightful
The only thing missing was seeing Connie have her first taste of red current.
How many kinds of berries are there? which berries is very tasty please explain.
😋😋😋😋
You missed Dingle
magic
👍👍👍🇮🇳
When I was little I thought red currants were sweeter than black currants and my kids today also think that red currants are sweeter. But today as an adult I think black currants are the sweeter ones. My dad also says that he likes black currants better. Why is it like this?! Isn't it totally weird?
Damn. I wish i could eat all those berries
Ok pet peev of mine always mention your zone.
Was it just pure beeswax or was there pine resin in wax?
If I'd started mine in large pots, I'd know what my varieties are
I find it impossible to eat many of the fruit I grow, specially with berries, they are eaten by rodents at night 😢. So much work for not much fruit.
Ikr so many plants without nets but still so much fruit, where as my plants get all the fruits eaten by birds before I can get to them even, while they are covered by nets, also I don't know how she gets her strawberries so big mine are always tiny, like the size of a 20 cent coin max
You can try tulle fabric as netting. It does keep rodents away but I found you have to cover your container or raised bed really well. I didn’t clip it on well enough in one spot and the rat went under it and inside my raised bed. Some people use laundry bags for large plants or other small net bags to go around the fruit while it’s growing on the plant. I haven’t had to do that yet but I was bummed out… one year the roof rats wiped out my entire garden. The orchard had no fruit left and they ate chunks out of my pineapple. I blame my neighbor… he was constantly throwing food scraps along the fence line. Not even in a compost bin!
So she does not have squirrels messing around in her yard?!
No squirrels in Melbourne Australia. We have brush tail possums.
Wait a minute. Aren’t you supposed to cut off runners on strawberries?
First say what kind of temperature of weather needs to grow
1 plant to a container OR can you plant more than 1 per container?????
:)
If you are hobby growing raspberries in australia, where are the atherton raspberries? surely we should be promoting native berries?

Gotta have chooky fowl and worms, ooh it's a crime to own a rooster
I tried blueberry, i didn't like it. It was bland
I love how the thumbnail only has one type of berry. The rest aren’t berries. No raspberries and strawberries aren’t berries.
No Mulberries ? Great vid, otherwise.
This is a show and tell, NO information! on how go about it!!
