I like how it's not sped up. Really puts the time put into this craft into perspective, even if it's only a fraction of the process. This requires so much skill and time, and the result is stunning.

As a kid/teen I wanted to go in to claymation or stop motion animation. I used to record every behind the scenes show I could for Nightmare Before Christmas or James and the Giant Peach, etc and then I’d watch them over and over. We didn’t have a camcorder when I was growing up, so I couldn’t make my own stop-motion movies, unfortunately. But I did used to make flip books. I used to watch claymation movies in slow-motion to get an idea for the right movements. I was never able to finish my degree (broke my spine halfway through college) but it’s still always fascinated me. I wish there were more stop-motion films.
I absolutely loved watching Gruff, I know that you put a lot of effort and tine into this and i appreciate it so much!! Even tho its a shortfilm, it was emotinial and has a really touching story.

Like you said, It's very time consuming & you have to get the details perfect which not many people can pull off. It's a hard artform. I'm a tattoo artist, which is also a hard artform. You know how the studio that made coralline puts out incredible stop motion films every few years? I had for a long time considered that to be the pinnacle of stop motion animation. Within the span of a single TH-cam short it’s abundantly clear that you are on that same level of talent, skill, creativity, and artistry.

Stop motion is a pain, especially if you're working with clay, which takes hours, I think it takes longer then actually drawing it out
