As someone who cares about the program more than the individual players, you can blame the people that only care about the players, the NIL civil rights wannabes. Now the players can just milk the university and leave, every year. Unless your school is elite or rich... getting better only got harder.

Mendoza: He left after he graduated from Cal’s Haas Business School, taking AP classes in HS, and doing a full load every summer. The Cal OC left, his top receivers were leaving, his OL stank and he was sacked too much. Now he is with his younger brother at Indiana, doing a grad degree while being coached by an upland coming offensive mind and who has an O-line and a receiving corps. Hopefully he’ll put up good numbers this coming year.
How? He’s not allowed to change how he feels? How much will Cal and ESPN make off replaying that moment you mentioned, how much will he make? He has no NFL future ( at least not yet) so why can’t he get paid? You sound like a 65 year old

All of these changes to the transfer portal adds an exciting layer to college football for sure. While it’s exciting and I’m enjoying the impulse buy feel of it all now, I’m curious if the NCAA will continue to allow all of this craziness. Can’t imagine being a head coach having to manage the portal, NIL, recruiting…. And oh ya, coaching your players and being the CEO of your staff! Fun though on the outside looking in…

Josh, as a long time Cane fan it really, really pissed me off when he did that. You are right though, college football has completely changed and you either adapt or leave it. I choose to adapt, because I love college football. Josh, I consider myself a purist, your show and Joel's show I believe are the best in the business (especially on a national level) Anyways, I apologize, I'm over it, and I RESUBSCRIBED.
It’s not closed five days after the National Championship. If your head coach leaves you have 30 days to enter so there is no true full closure. Remember the fallout last year after Saban retired? The transfer portal was suddenly open to about 7 rosters.
Tennessee better follow IUs lead and take full advantage of making the playoffs this year. Losing badly to OSU should only motivate Huepel to hit it harder for 25. And the class is top ten

What’s the rule on disqualification in cfb? I thought you got disqualified for two personal fouls, targeting, or fighting. Why is Dennis Sutton #33 for Penn state still in the game? He has two personal fouls. He should be missing the rest of this Boise State game, and the first half of the CFB Semi finals. Thanks JP.
Beau Pribula going to Mizzou is HUGE. That makes them a college football playoff contender. Rating him the 12th QB in the portal is a sick joke. I'd rate him as the number 1. He's a kid who was going to be the starter at PSU next year had Allar gone pro. That's not my opinion, it's just a fact. So... it's literally saying that the starting QB for PSU is the 12th rated QB in the portal. It's just laughable. Pribula is arguably as good as Allar, maybe better.
