I really like the tones I'm hearing. The mod effects post amp seem to widen the stereo spread a bit which is nice. They seem to have stuffed a lot into a fairly small box. I'm sure it won't be replacing anyone's Kemper or Fractal but I'm sure the price point is on the mark for what it is. These little boxes are getting more and more amazing (from all the company's) Any decent player can take something like this and sound great. No more excuses!
I wouldn't be so sure. A Kemper works differently anyway by sampling an amp. In terms of Fractal or Line 6 products that ooze with hundreds of amps and IRs, in real life, you only need a handful of sounds which the NUX provides. Fractal and Line 6 have midi and other whiz accessories and are made of steel (compared to plastic) but the question here is the quality of the sounds. In my humble view, based solely on TH-cam comparisons and comparing it to my Hotone Ampero, the MG300 is "as good" in terms of tonal quality as the big players. In fact, some amps (and effects) sound better in the MG300 than the Axe FX3 or Line 6 products. That's why I ordered the MG300. And by the way, a TH-camr opened up an Axe FX and went through the electronics. Not much in it. It's mainly hype.
@@knowitall1694 I agree with you. I also understand Ampero has a new unit coming soon that will allow for dual amps and cabs which is very important to me. Before I jump into a new Core 1000, I want to see the new Ampero first.
Does the wah and drives are in separate section? I have nux mg 100 right now and my problem there is I cannot make a drive with wah patch because they are in the same group (EFX). Thank you for answer NUX!
