Bjorn, have you tried getting a tennis ball and placing it upon a table. Place your hand flat on top of the ball and then roll the ball around beneath your hand while keeping your hand flat. This will help lengthen and loosen up the tendons in your hand ✋. I hope that it helps!
My most comfortable knife is finnish knife better for precise work. I also can do batoning no problem not being full tang though. AHTI & MARTTIINI knives are awesome. If i go full tang its Casstrom No.10 or Mora Garberg. Finnish knives have a better scandi grind for me, higher scandi grind i find better for myself.
I own the Helle Nord for 1 year now. The handle feels perfect even tough I have smaller hands. The knife is an awesome alround performer with no real weaknesses. In the last couple of months I switched back to my Helle Utvær + Gränsfors Bruks combo because I rather like splitting wood with an axe and carry out cutting tasks with a smaller knife.
I personally consider grip comfort last. So long as it works, I'm happy. A great example is my carry pistol. Anyone who has shot it complains about the grip (including me), but I shoot it way better than more ergonomic pistols. I learned to emphasize products that work well over comfort. Comforting vs comfortable. JMO. Skol
Helle and Casstrom make some beautiful and practical knives. I unfortunately own neither and its my own fault. I've purchased so many knives over the years I'm running out of storage space, as a collector and user I'm ashamed. Awaiting your review of this awesome looking knife, maybe use it with a thin and comfortable pair of gloves to relieve the tendon pain. Take care o' wise man of the woods.
did you look at the blade after hitting it with a log splitting wood? and as for the handle how would you fix the problem for someone like yourself? make the handle thicker? or taller? or the entire handle narrower and thinner?
I would aggree you can make it with a cheaper knife but it depends on the company its made by.Mora yes,big retail store brand knives..no way for examples.
@stevemuzak8526 in general, more expensive knives give you better steel and better craftsmanship. I acknowledge that this isn't always the case. 14c28n is a very tough with low edge retention. This knife in magnacut might be more expensive, but you're also getting much superior edge retention, which means sharpening less. This knife is $250 usd, which isn't cheap. Buy the best knife you can afford.
@@nalanbilgic2633 The Martiini Lynx 121 knife is designed for Women and people with smaller hands. Great knife but I wouldn't baton with it. (Sorry for jumping in Bjorn).😊
If you'd like to purchase this knife, you can get it from Helle's website, knife dealers or Amazon: amzn.to/3P8K6lU
Thanks Bjorn. Have an awesome weekend!
Love the Outdoors videos, helps me to see & feel like I'm visiting Norway! One day I will travel there. A dream destination! ❄️🌲☀️
Love the snow scenery
Thank you, Bjorn.
Awesome, love your reviews. No bull , well yes some bull-hansen. Great job
Thank you for your video. I shall consider this knife.

Spiral wrap a strip of buckskin on the handle. Will make it more comfortable.
Great looking knife. For me it will probably be more of an heirloom heritage type knife, but we'll see. Cheers.
The fasteners that attach the wooden handle to the tang can be rivets, pins or screws. Thanks for the video, Bjørn! 😊
Definitely a nice looking knife Bjorn, looking forward to the follow up. Thanks for sharing. 💯👍
Great video and knife Bjorn.

That is awesome to hear. And I absolutely support the axe + smaller knife combo, it is perfect.
Actually the studs in the handle are called "pins". AFAIK😉
Thanks for posting. I think rivets may be the word you were looking for.

Nice looking broad-backed blade indeed!
I want that knife❤❤❤❤
2:16 ... in English it's called "pivot pin"
thats a mans knife right there! gonna get one asap!
I think you will like it!
Nice, now on my to buy list. Are there not exercises for short tendons? Maybe do a paracord wrap?
Thank you, and I should have stretched, but it is also genetical They say it's a "Viking" genetical defect, actually.
Try putting Castor Oil on those tendons for a few weeks!

Don't buy expensive knifes for bushcrafting. I use cheap knife for 30 years. It's all about proper sharpening. Nothing else.

It does, absolutely.
That's a beautiful knife. SKØL💀🍻
What kind/size of knife would you recommend for women with tiny hands?
