Happy are those in heaven who have an opportunity to listen to this full of joie de vivre spirit live. I am always smiling from ear to ear when hearing and seeing him. R.I.P., dear Mr. Erroll Garner. You had brought and are still bringing so much joy to jazz lovers.
Chau! Desde BA, Nacho!
I just introduced My Sister to Mr. Garner she loves him. Too bad we were too young to have known him on his time. But we are enjoying his splendid music together lovely!!!!!
this man is by far the best pianist ever...a lot of people would give that title to Art Tatum but while I love me some Art he was kinda a one trick pony musically speaking; amazingly fast hands but as far as chord structure and just musical inventiveness nobody that I'VE heard comes close.
Erroll;s harmony sounds like Earl Hines. But Hines didnot hvae this irregular tempo between his hands and he didnot have the latin feel many times Erroll Had. As for the knowledge maybe the best was Bud Powell. But is like comparing Bach (father of music) with Chopin (hatmony dactorator) Both wree the best. The same with Bud and Erroll. Mister Ernest Mcarthy said once.(he was Erroll;s bassist) Erroll was the only one jazz piayer that could improvise over the improvisation .I believe that was unique! Also he was excpert at breaking the tonic center without destriying music like free jazz does. He could make the bassist and the rest look like fools. Mr. Ernest mentions many truths about this gem. I tried to be objective as much as i could.
I can listen to Erroll every day! What is the piece from Rachmaninov that some posts are referring too? I am always intrigued at how Erroll Garner transforms other tunes with his own spin, for example Goodbye, Autumn Leaves, Laura, etc.
2 years later and I have listened to this great interpretation from Erroll Garner several times. I have now found and answer to my query - the reference to Rachmaninov classic. th-cam.com/video/fwDLVUAu_AA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0ljeGvB4R_h2XVMj

We are three of us, now, I mean, enjoying Mr. Garner's music.
Only Erroll could introduce a song this way, and with a slight reverb on top, sounds like a concert hall in heaven!
Dear GOD ,I love this song and Errol `s rendition .
I love anything Erroll ever played!!!!
Une main gauche comme une guitare qui accompagne,le génie
Dad used to bring Errol Garner by to play our piano -- probably to give it good mojo. We always enjoyed him - the person, as well as his playing -

Muito bom
Um erroll jazz vale um rachmaninoff classico. Os dois não têm preço!
Rachmaninoff's best in my opinion. 2nd Piano Concerto in C minor
Dlaczego nie ma Go wśród nas. Geniusz. Ubóstwiam jego muzykę
