Positive takeaways from racing today: 1) Cam Beaubier still has the special sauce that led him to 5 AMA superbike championships 2) Jake Gagne managed to survive round 1 race 1 without a blown engine 3) For having rode so little on the V4R, Josh Herrin is at least capable of keeping pace with the leaders over the length of the race, and there's potential for improvement there 4) SImilar to point 3, Cam Petersen and Matthew Scholtz are capable of keeping pace with the leaders into the late stages of the race. All those three need to do is improve their starts and early race pace so that they can be around for the end.
This sport needs more attention so entertaining!!! Can't wait until August when I can go to the Pittsburgh race for my second year! And a huge thanks to yammie noob for introducing me to this awesome sport.
@Willjrockstar I was hoping to have my first bike by then so I can road trip there on a bike but with a kid on the way ill have to wait until next year for that lol...but I'm gonna try to be in the same spot as last year on top of the hill in front of the long straight near the trailers and campers
RIP Ski. Despite the “outside” world’s non-understanding of your chosen career path, you accomplished much. You did the world YOUR WAY, A way that most of the world cannot understand. Congratulations amigo. You win!
Waiting to see josh get into a groove earlier in future races and see it become common for 3+ racing for first . I Love watching these crazy kids Screaming around tracks……though moto gp has more excitement with the crash crazy riders( like Márquez) it’s awesome to see crazy and safety going hand in hand , producing “honest “ results ( for lack of a better way of saying )
Really looking forward to MotoAmerica this year, especially now Beaubier's back to challenge Gagne. Bring back the Trans Atlantic Trophy! Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧
Cam B definitely exceeded my expectations. I thought it’d take him this whole season to get the bike right based on what bmw and tytlers did so far. That said he never once got away from gange. And though pridmore never said it, I think we’re in agreement that those two have very similar riding styles none of that one makes speed on the front tire the other does it on the rear nonsense.
Wow, thank for for the great presentation for a great race on you tube. Greedy TV networks are ruining world leagues. I have not been this excited for a season since back when Spies and Mladen were racing!!
Finally a bonafide rivalry, Gagne vs Beaubier. This is what makes fans excited about Moto-Bike racing in America. That's why the Mladin vs Spies era was so successful. After Daytona group ruined the AMA Superbike series a few years ago, I sincerely hope MotoAmerica understands what they have in front of them right now, and leverage it to promote this great sport. And remember that BMW is NOT a factory bike, but it just beat factory Yamaha! That's how fast Cameron is. Lastly, keep Josh Herrin away from other racers, and everything will be great. Maybe Josh and Marq Marquez can have their on league where they practice crashing into each other on every lap.
Mat verse Ben was awesome. Though it didn't make a difference in superbike the supersport series still had elite factory racer's going at it. That is definitely missed in this series to me. If someone runs away with the superbike title like mat from 2000 until 2006 you had the supersport series to give you the battle's you needed
If we're being technical, the only factory superbike team in MotoAmerica this year is HSBK Ducati, who's getting support straight from Ducati. With that being said, Attack Performance Yamaha is about as close as you can get to being a factory team without factory support, so... agree to disagree I guess..?
I had the impression that the commentators think Cam Beaubier had a bad time in Moto2, yet my impression was that, particularly last season, he was getting very close to podium finishes. And many thought another season could see him winning in Moto2. He's a top top racer imo and it looks like another great season as they try to topple the brilliant Jake Gagne.
Yeah but the only real problem with motoamerica(in spite of the AWESOME racing we're seeing now) is the lack of fatory supported teams. We still only have 2, and Suzuki is nowhere to be seen. It would be great to see some bmw factory support and some ducati, Honda, or Kawi factory teams out there.
and grid size it's such a shame the riders aren't coming through and getting more teams into the US paddock. but what a race Beaubier hunting down Gagne was awesome just a shame Gagne got some arm-pump but race two later should be fun
Thank you for honoring David Sadowski that was awsome🎉 a big part of the superbike racing scene for many years .Dave was a fierce competitor and always let the fans no how much they meant to support the sport
You could see the look on Gagne,s face during the post race interview after the first race. He gapped the field in the opening laps he was thinking ok here we go again ill just manage it from here, he looked shell shocked that someone reeled him in then passed for the win. EPIC RACING BOYS AND GIRL
Well he's on a privateer bmw that never even got a podium last year(afaik) but it's completely unproven until now and he defeated a factory yamaha with the champ aboard it and if Herrin wouldn't have went full retard he would have the double win!
Great racing, love Road Atlanta! However may I humbly request that that the commentators stop referring to Moto2 as "racing in Europe". Cameron Beaubier moved up from a National Championship a World Championship for a couple of seasons, racing in Australia, Malaysia, the Middle East, Japan and even at COTA in Texas. I'll conceed that the World Championship is certainly Euro-centric, but IMO referring to it as racing in Europe ignores it's global reach and plays down the very high level of the competition.
Yes the boys are back in town 😎 josh,Tony ,Cameron,it’s going to be a fun season, plenty of action,Cameron B he’s still got it the lad ,like to see Tony up there,I’m sure we will very soon ,looking forward to this season, was getting a bit boring to be honest, but now I see real potential for a fantastic season 😎
bro, I felt a bit sorry for Cam when he was asked that question on the grid. Like, through a grimace he has to say. "Moto2, more like motoWho? Too, much traveling...no realllly happy to be back!"
It would have been nice if Beaubier ended up in WSBK. He was very good in Moto 2. It is a shame he went so late in life. If he was younger I think you would have seen him win a bunch of races and end up in GP.
When you see what bmw bike does in wsbk to its tyres and how hard scotty redding is riding the bike just to stay in top ten or podium on some tracks and then josh brooks in BSB has started winning this year and cam looks good here in moto America it’s definitely the tyres and putting the power down coz the Ducati is king on wsbk and MOTOGP
I'm so bummed that Cameron is back only because I wanted him to do really good over seas and eventually get in MotoGP, we need an American on the Grid in MotoGP, that would have been sweet, but it wasn't meant to be. I wish him all the best back here in Moto America. I think they should be able to talk to there mechanic thru there helmets, I think it would make for even better racing. 🤘🇺🇲🗽🏴🤘
I wonder how many times per races these guys experience fear? I just sat thru 19 laps of it!! They gotta feel it at least once or twice!? I dont know if i can even fathom getting slowed down for a hard turn after blasting out of a 190mph straight lol.
There's no way anyone could say that was Cam's fault. He was as far to the inside of the kink as one could possibly get! Herrin bumped into him and lost a knee slider and then tried to make something out of nothing at the next corner and tried to take out Cam but Cam already saw him coming and just tapped the brake and let him fly off the track.... Josh out of control like always!
SBK racing applies so much more than Mgp when it comes to "race on sunday sell on monday" at least bikes are seriously based on actual production bikes as opposed to unique handbult exotic motogp machines. I wish even motogp rules had real link to production machines ...it would not only lower costs but would also allow more teams to compete! And seriously with everyone on same rules it would be virtually ZERO spectator difference! Could even be they are allowed actual preproduction of next years bikes so long as they offered for sale a minimum number of pre production bikes even if track only with severe penalties if they failed to actually put the model into production as promised
Beubier should be in wsbk, moto2 without an established championship team is too big an ask I want this guy in Wsbk next year, sooo, I want him to win US championship this season
Wish they would have Roger Hayden do the commentary for these races.... who was it that said Herrin could win? I'm assuming tht was a joke. He was almost 2 seconds behind. 🤣
😅 great race bogey should’ve gone for the world superbike instead of Moto to you got to be like the size of a jockey to be a MotoGP rider. You gotta be under 125 pounds you know and I don’t keep my eye on Josh Haring, underrated underestimated hopefully gets a good team as well.
Thanks thanks thanks for putting this on TH-cam. Hopefully it will reach more people and help to grow motoamerica
I'm sure Rumble would be happy to work with Moto America.
Yeah i live in the UK all i could get last year was race highlights
Better to support MA by joining MotoAmerica Live. Have to build the fan base. Don't understand why most car guys don't support motorcycle racing
@@deepwood4i wish more content creators would post on rumble. TH-cam getn a little too restrictive

Yes. Which is going to make this such a great season.
also, don't be surprised if Elias and Escalante start running up front too.
Great to see this race today, especially with the different manufacturers of motorcycles on the podium!
That was really nice to see the tribute to 'ski at his home track!!
Gonna be a good season...please keep posting these races....
Awesome race! Props to Beaubier! Very happy for my brother Josh Herrin and a bit bummed for brother PJ!
love live streaming superbike. need every race on here

That BMW looks like a Busa. Love the front end.

Great start to the new season!
Great to have you back Cam!! Heck of a race from 1-5!
Congratulations Josh Herrin for getting on the podium for Ducati. ☘ 👍

Congratulations Jake Gagne for breaking and setting a new race track record for Yamaha.☘👍
Grate ride brothers that was gold to watch .
Would have been cool to see Petrucci again this year. We would have gotten a good measure of Gagne against a former Motogp and now former Moto2 rider.

They should name that BMW “Starship.” Bit of a wobbler but fast AF. 😮😅 Nice work, Gumby.
