Class mixing tips, I work in a venue in Manchester which doesn't have a mon's console and there is quite a few bands that come in with IEM's, so I'll be applying that channel duplication technique to my mix in the future. Thanks! Keep up the great content.

Can you make a video on life as a beginner sound engineer? Tips and advice would be useful. I have been shadowing multiple engineers in my city but struggling to get any hands on experience of doing my own gigs. How can I bridge that gap?

Approach bands directly and offer some free help to do sound (foh or mons or both) during rehearsal, small shows, demo recordings.
Take either big bands but small role, or small bands but bigger role. Offer something they need, and then become part of the team.

Plug your headphones into your console and PAFL the aux channel, or however you have your sends set

Thank you for the awesome tips! Just got to be honest with you but your vocal sounds like shit!! Too compressed, to much low end, harsh sounding and no clarity! Sorry:)

I agree. This podcast hurts to listen to. Ruins the credibility of the content

@@NickzAndMikz I don't think it ruins the credibility as the tips he gave are really solid and his vast experience is undeniable.

@@xicoamc When someone makes a video on audio and their vocal processing sounds like that, it does ruin their credibility.

Yeah looks like I mastered it too hot, I was in a rush to get it out before I left for a tour and I didn’t check before it went live. I’ll make sure to double check them next time before posting 🥹

@@NickzAndMikz it doesn't ruin the credibility at all, it just makes it hard to listen to. The content is great.
