That sounded almost like the General Electric GE90-115B, keeping the roar aside! Far better than even Trent 800 and 900. That's why it must be assigned as the engine for A380neo.
This engine and the monstrous GE90 make the same damn sound and it is fantastic! I can't decide which is best... I'd be sad to rank one below the other
Finnair A350 is really the most modern and absolutely the most beautiful aircraft ever built! I don't get enough of this, it is too cool, even the cabin crew is amazed!

I hear both ever week and I know for a fact the CFM engines on A320 are quieter than the version on the 737. When comparing the CFM engines, you would figure out that it is scientific you more likely that the A320's version in fact is quieter by design. This is due to the fact that the 737 engine size restriction forces the engine to have a smaller fan. Both engines are capable of producing 27,000lbs of thrust. The 737's engine has a relatively small fan and has a lower bypass ratio than the other engine. To produce the rated thrust, the engine must spin at a high rpm and expel thrust out the back with great force which generates noise. The A320's CFM has a larger fan because the airframe allows for such. This means that for this engine to produce rated thrust, it does not have to spin as fast and expels thrust with less force out the back but in great quantity which makes the engine not only quieter, but possibly more efficient. This also allows for a 33,000lbs of thrust variant.
She's a beautiful bird with a lovely voice! Regarding flight restrictions, a lot has changed since the end of the Cold War! Back in those days, only airlines from the three occupying Western nations were permitted through the three (3) air corridors over East Germany into West Berlin. The city of West Berlin was in a pretty precarious situation back then!

Just when you thought that Rolls Royce couldn't better the RB2-11's and then General Electric created the GE-90's the world is given these XWB bad boys. These engines are incredible. These are the car world equivalent of getting a 35 mile to the gallon formula 1 engine in a standard family ford. Just awesome.

They should patent the sound like Ducati has done with their motorbikes!.. Anyone here agrees? Thinking about the RB211 scream, not to mention the Spey or the venerable Dart...
Another comparison take off for this one is the Airbus A380 with the RR Trent 900 seen on JFK-ICN Asiana airlines with a connecting A350-900 ICN-MNL if substituted for a PW4170 A330-300. Other similar takeoff would be the direct Philippine Airlines JFK to Manila
Hard to tell through a video. The first video like this of the A350 on TH-cam had clapping during takeoff that could very clearly be picked up over the noise of the engine. I think because everything else is so quiet all you hear is the engine. It should be as quiet as the 787.
There really are no same sized Airbuses and Boeings other than the A320 and 737 where I would agree that Airbus has the plane with quieter engines. This is thanks to the 737s restrictions for engine size. I would say the 777 has quieter engines than the A340.
Okay, and still through this people claim the A350 is quieter than the GEnx 787? It's a far nicer view and better sound than the Trent 1000 787, but still!!!
It's always awesome to burst through cloud cover, going from dreary and rainy skies to a bright, clear and blue one! Beautiful!

For a modern engine, this is absolutely amazing. The buzzsaw is on point and yet, it's really efficient!
This one seems to have a lower buzzsaw sound than older engines
