My bold prediction, Ferrari will finally get the safety car they hoped for and the mediums finally drop off
And they would finally finish checking all of the issues.

It’s actually crazy that the last time Max Verstappen finished outside of the points was 2016, but even more so that in total it only happened 5 times in his 185 racestarts. 4 of those were when he drove for Toro Rosso, so the last time he finished a race outside of the points is the only time it happened for him in Red Bull

My prediction is one of the VCARBurator drivers wins Monza. Because everytime they changed the team name they won at Monza.
I love how they can't imagine a driver DNFing 4 times in a season when Ocon had 7 DNFs last year.

And Alonso 6 the previous season. It's an Alpine thing.
Look at what Ocon is driving. They have to turn the engine All The Way up so the Safety Car doesn't out qualify them.

I don’t think 5 different teams winning a race is THAT impossible. Ferrari won last year, Aston got close in Monaco, McLaren won a sprint (and Lando win hype is at its highest), and Mercedes looked good on pace in Qatar and Singapore. If Max looks semi human it can happen.
No no, Max needs to be human for that to happen. And there is your mistake.
But even if Max fails to win 4 races, which I hope so, each of the 4 teams have to win one of them which may prove tricky. Not impossible but unlikely. And people are mostly ignoring Perez as well.

i think its very very unlikely - theres still a second RB on the grid, and if the car is good Checo is still very good. 3 would be more likely... Suzuka will be in probably better conditions being different timing in the year... but there is 24 races so some more opportunity i guess. I think maybe across the sprints we might see some, having GP qualifying AFTER the sprint race might see the likes of RB not taking risks if needed for a couple more points - theyll save the car for GP Quali
4? yeah sure maybe its happened in 2020 and 2021 in very competitive season and a chaotic season. 5 hasn't happened since 2012 which is known for the most competitive cars ever and right now its not very competitive right now.
9:50 It is kind of insane that Max has only finished outside the points (when not DNFing) once since he's been on Red Bull.
in the same time, its only been twice for Lewis, one of those was the break magic moment so only really once due to lack of pace. shows the consistency of both.
Fun fact: If Verstappen wins the first 4 races of the season, he will beat his record set last year for most consecutive wins (he finished the season with 7 in a row, the record is currently 10)
Shitty fact: if Logan wins the first 11 races he also breaks the record.
Not like he can't beat the record from scratch this season, after Bahrain
Max clean sweep of the season, i will be there to witness it. Good luck trying to beat a 31-race win streak and if anyone can build such a streak, it is Max.

Nah, more likely, it's gonna be a repeat of 2022 if it isn't 2023. Either fastest, or slow start and then they find legs and dart off into the distance as the season progresses.
Fastest in relative to the grid probably, fastest ever ehhh probably not cause the numbers are not there yet in slow speed corners

My Bold Prediction: it’ll rain in 7 races; 17 DNFs in those 7 rainy races.
For that Albon podium, I'm going to say it's a wet or cold race, Williams starts him from pitlane due to a car upgrade or parts swap, first 4 or 5 cars to the 1st corner crash out, Williams on podium.
You need to be on some strong shit to believe on the Williams podium.

You have to assume that Sergio has a really bad day or that the Williams is an absolute flyer and Albon has an otherworldly day and thats assuming McLaren and Merc are no where to be found.
It can happen but a lot of dominoes will need to fall.

10:30 I don't really understand the Piastri slander from Matt regarding his race pace. Ultimately it all comes down to his tire management. It's not out of the norm to see F1 rookies struggle with this in their first season. Different factors including suspension set-up, ride height, centre of gravity, downforce and brake balance can all affect tire management depending on the driving style. Piastri can easily make the adjustments needed to correct this issue with his engineer after last season. They can also set up his car to suit his style. But Matt is implying that Piastri will still have the same achilles heel as last season. That's way too presumptuous.

Why do you have to be contrarian as if tyre management isn't of significant importance when it comes to race pace.
Also, it's not like he didn't say it was impossible for Oscar to work out those issues, only that they existed and as such it would be a reach to suggest that he'll win before Lando, (this part of the take I don't necessarily agree with, all it takes is one good day and everything to fall into place.) however at the end of his monologue he did note that, it's still possible for Oscar to work through them but that people shouldn't get too ahead of themselves. I think that's perfectly reasonable. Maybe you posted before finishing the video or idk.
@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks Nowhere in my original comment did I say that “tyre management wasn’t of importance when it comes to race pace”. I quite literally mentioned the factors affecting tyre management and set up issues. Also it was Tom who mentioned that it was only his “rookie season” and that he could fix those issues in his sophomore year in F1. Matt was the one who implied that Oscar Piastri will still have the same tyre management problems and so it is impossible for him to beat Norris. That’s why I accused him of being presumptuous.

False. no shot Merc is udderly dominant. They were more than a second off the pace at the end of last year, and had no top end speed. RBR is going to continue service as usual, possibly picking up more time on the field. Merc is going to wallow around in the mid field on the track until the last 5 or 6 races. McLaren is going to be the #2 team on the grid, and Ferrari and Merc will be fighting for 3rd. @@abdullahamir626

The Alonso prediction isn't just reasonable I kinda bank on that very one happening.
The Logan one also isn't that crazy. It's not at all impossible Haas will be a dud, and Williams is in a good place. Logan is in his 2nd year maybe he finds himself. He may not need a huge step to get ahead of both Haas' in that car. I'd say it's a reasonable gamble actually but Zhou? Yeah idk that makes it a bit crazier and agreed kinda unnecessary lol Poor Zhou esp as so far he's flashed more potential than Logan has. That said Alfa may also be a dud and again if Logan makes a step forward or yeah has an opportune race, its not too bonkers.
I mean some of these are so impossible, might as well say all 20 drivers win a race this year. 5 different teams winning???

Not sure if this counts as bold given last season, but to be contrarian to the other predictions here I think there will only be 2 race winners in 2024: Max and Lando, with Max winning to a somewhat similar margin as last year and Lando in a comfortable yet distant P2 in the championship.
Also, Oscar will get his GP win ahead of Lando 😅
Oscar could possibly win at Monaco if he pulls a stunner in quali but I’d bet on Ferrari having the fastest one lap pace at the tracks where RB get surprised.

Not sure why they opted for a separate channel when they could've put everything under the P1 umbrella. Maybe reasons related to the algorithm, who knows?
Imagine 4 drivers win a race for Red Bull. Could happen, with RIC replacing PER who only inherited a win from a Max DNF and then Lawson getting one for a big cough replacement drive for one of the other three.
Due to car improvements in speed this season,its not unreasonable to expect Tyre issues this season.
My boldest prediction: both Lando and Oscar to win a GP; Albon ot the podium; Yuki on the podium; tight finish between Max, Lando and Charles

Looking at last years testing times for comparison, it appears alot of teams are sandbagging heavily so far, focusing on data collection, not pace, much like last year, where vast majority waited until 3rd day to put any pace laps up. Going to be interesting to see how the 3 days goes. Max 'quick' lap is still slow by last years Q3 time too. He's close on his fastest testing time from last year he set day 2.

We just had Monaco. We have had 3 different teams win with 4 different drivers. (Max, Carlos, Lando, and Charles) So that prediction of 4 different teams winning is almost true.

Wouldn’t take much for Piastri to win instead of Norris. All it would take is for Mclaren to be good at 1 circuit and for Lando to choke qualifying (he does this every time)
And Lando will pass Oscar when Oscars tyres fall off

I too had the WDC coming down to 4 drivers! Leclerc Madmax SLH n slight outside hope Carlos! SLH only having yo finish in 5th place to win his 8th!
My bold prediction is Alpine will collapse and finish like 7-8th behind Williams (they almost had 100 more points than them last year so i guess it's quite bold). They're in a streak of bad luck, engine is trash, their drivers seem to hate each other, and the top management is so messy, in constant revolution (they're French after all). Even changed three TPs in 2 years... Yeah if they'll be competitive it'll be a miracle.

My bold predictions : McLaren will win the constructors championship for the first time since 1998 and Lando will finish runner up to Max in the WDC.

Personally I agree with Matt on the Piastri vs Norris GP win even though personally I think he was a slightly better Rookie than Norris at the beginning of his career and as Matt said No slander to the man they’re both extraordinary talents Both deserve a win.. Buuuut if only two other drivers win a race I want it to be Charles and Alonso lmao

Williams seem likely to remain the 7th best team. I'll be surprised if Logan doesn't improve this year, and deliver a result in line with where the car sits. 17th seems really quite plausible.

Leclerc has had 23 dnfs(including dns and dsq) in the 6 seasons he has raced. So 4 dnfs in a year might not be such a crazy prediction for "Anyone". For Max it may be yes.
I always read that a Williams podium would be something from another world but a good part of last year Albono was there with the Alpines, wich both got podiums, it is crazy, but not an impossible I think

more of a hot take than a bold prediction: if piastri develops like he did last year, by mid season mclaren will have the best lineup on the grid (future superstar and future multi race winner - yall can decide whichever way round thats gonna be)

to be fair, Lewis also has finished outside the points 3 times in the same time, but 2 of those were due to technical issues in the final couple laps so he still gets classified so its really really only once.
@@ddha0000 Max started in a Toro Rosso, where he finished outside of the points 4 times, then he went to RedBull and finished outside of the points once in 7 years.
Maybe not four DNFs, but who would've thought that Max would go four races on the trot without a win?

My predictions for 2024
1. verstappan WDC
2. redbull constructor champion
3. fight for 2nd between Mercedes and Ferrari
4. fight for 3rd between Aston and maclaren and racing bulls
5. fight for 7th between alpine and Williams
McLaren fight for P4 after how the ended last season would be embarrassing
I think there will be title fight, at least until the summer break
Williams podium requires another 1998 spa , with a completely chaos on first lap
Vcarb will score top 10 in every race😮

Four drivers- Verstappen, Hamilton, Norris, and Alonso. Ferrari reliability will let LeClerc and Sainz down too much to be competitive at the end.
A Williams podium? Maybe, definitely able to get points, could be possible with enough chaos.
5 different teams winning? Maybe 3- RBR, McLaren, and Ferrari.
4 DNFs? Yeah, that sounds reasonable.
Piastri over Norris? Could be.
Sargeant P17? I'd like to see it, and I could see him potentially being up to P15 over the year if he's improved enough.
McLaren finishing that low? They'd need to DNF half the races as a team.
VCARB will score a podium. That's my bold prediction. I really think they have copied the RB19 and with the parts the buy from RBR, it will be a better car. However, teams like McLaren, Ferrari, Aston and Mercedes probably still have better cars.
