IT'S TOO GOOD - Kafka Trailer Reaction | Honkai Star Rail

This is probably the coolest thing I've seen so far. This is a honkai star rail reaction video. This is for one of their characters called Kafka. This blew me away how they incorporated the classical music into this dubstep remix! I love it. Anways, great to see that four seasons was introduced in it. It's so hype.

Hoyomix in general does some revolutionary work in the field of video game music. HSR's music has been pushing frontiers with how experimental it always is. Honkai Impact's I would describe as emotionally charged. Genshin Impact's soundtrack is more atmospheric and symphonic. And then there's also Tears of Themis that's classically romantic. I'm generalizing a lot ofc, but I actually listen to HSR and Genshin OSTs a lot even outside the games. It's just that good!

Wow, I had no idea! It was a first time I heard this really hype classical music blend so I was so shocked. It's interesting to also hear that the same company also does all these different styles of music for their games, and you know the music's good when you play it outside the games. Definitely makes me want to check out more of their stuff!

Some tracks from it that are all bangers(imo): "last resort", "hikari", "dust" and "Sie liebten sich beide" (has the classical sound, but it evolves during the song)
All of these songs are great, iirc they are all tied to bosses, so they usually have a drop towards the end for the final phase.
There are other non gacha games with amazing songs aswell, like Final Fantasy (for me, its FF14 that is near to my heart, they have a wide variety of musicgenres in that one, like "invincible"(there is an orchestral version on youtube), "dedicated to moonlight" and "A long Fall")
Or the Nier series. Some recommendations from that series are: "a beautiful song" and "song of the ancients (atonement)" the lyrics are in a made up language because they didnt want to distract from the gameplay.
Sorry for a long reply, but in general i think western gaming companies play it safe when it comes to music, usually going very Hans Zimmer esque or its very ambient. Not to say there are none. I love "Silver for monsters" from The Witcher 3
