  • In this video I show you how to make my spicy keema pasta recipe. It's perfect for anyone wanting to create a desi style version of mince pasta.
    Ingredients:
    2 Tbsp Olive Oil
    3 Small Onions
    Salt to taste (Recipe used 1.5 Tsp)
    1 Tbsp Ginger
    1 Tbsp Garlic
    1.5 Tbsp Basaar mix (Can use red chilli powder)
    1kg Lamb Mince
    400ml Boiled Water
    400ml Tomato & Herb Pasta Sauce
    1 Tbsp Coriander Powder
    1 Tbsp Garam Masala
    1 Tbsp Tomato Puree
    1 tsp Chilli Flakes
    2 Green Chillies
    Handful Mixed Bell Peppers
    1 Can Sweetcorn
    2 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
    Cheese as required
    Oregano 1 Tsp
    Pasta:
    Water for boiling
    Drop of Olive Oil
    ¼ Tsp Salt
    400g Fusilli Pasta
    Method:
    1. Heat oil, add onions and cook on a medium heat.
    2. After a few mins add salt and cook until lightly golden.
    3. Add ginger and garlic and brown off really well.
    4. Add in basaar mix, mix well and add in mince.
    5. On a high heat break down the mince and cook until fully brown.
    6. Add in the boiled water and cover for 15 mins.
    7. After 15 mins, uncover and add in pasta sauce, start to evaporate the liquid on a high heat.
    8. Add in coriander powder, garam masala, tomato puree, chilli flakes and green chillies.
    9. Mix well and cook until you see the oil separate from the sides of the pan.
    10. At this stage add in the bell peppers and cook until soft.
    11. Lastly, add in the sweetcorn and cook for a few mins before setting aside.
    12. For the pasta, boil the water and add in the oil and salt.
    13. Cook the pasta according to packet instructions and drain.
    14. Mix the pasta into the mince mixture and add in tomato ketchup.
    15. Mix well and in a flat dish place 1 layer of pasta.
    16. Add some cheese and add another layer of pasta.
    17. Finish off with more cheese, oregano and chilli flakes.
    18. Place under a high heated grill for a few mins until the cheese melts.
