When you said The Boys sounded like a remix it made me think that you might have heard the english ver. of the song in the past being played by your sister. It was released with the Korean ver. and was almost as popular. I actually really enjoy it, but that's besides the point haha When listening to the two back to back, they are obviously the same song but pauses and breaths are in different positions. makes for a different listening experience.

"Leader" doesn't mean main vocal, main dancer, or center. Leader is literally the leader... Like a captain, usually the oldest. When you see someone consistently in the center, they are probably the "center", not the leader. However, in this case the leader is the main vocal.
i've stanned these girls for half my life and let me just say that making the decision to stan them these past years has been the best decision i made my whole life. snsd will be my ult group forever, even after they disband.

Sooo Girls Generation is the first largest girl group in kpop industry, at least the first largest in 2nd generation kpop. They struggle a lot because back then there is not much girl group shown up in this industry, they've mocked as the girl group for only showing their visuals, the cute side, the pretty one without considering their 'lack of vocals'. That is why in a time JYP and YG 'jokingly' said that they have to create 9 members girl group to beat Girls Generation since SM only 'show the visuals, not the vocal ability', note the sarcasm. So that is why Twice is made, and Black Pink, actually wanted to debut with 9 members but they gradually out from YG, and result debuted with 4 members only.

They only lost one member named Jessica due to the company. But they are currently still a group together as 8 members.
