This is amazing. Telling the (hi)story from normal people. Traces, memories of the „collective“ that lived there, that built it, the shows that we now can not imagine. It get‘s forgotten so often that it was real life from normal people... and not nostalgic and only from the famous. Thank you Kahani and Tom for bringing me this little jewel of thought…
By the way… I am a architect working in the field of heritage… but of more normal houses and I am always so intrigued by the traces of life that I find. Old Wallpaper, signs, worn off auxiliaries, old bath furniture, coal shafts and little elevators… As much as I can I conserve it or interpret it. But more often than not people only realize what they had when it is gone for good.

Thanks for the kind words. "(Hi)story", hah, nice. It's unfortunate that we're losing so much of the city to rapid development. I wonder what people will think of this era in 100 years from now. It's all so cookie cutter.

This guy is so cool! His paintings are absolutely incredible! I've only just discovered him (via his cover art of the book "Vancouver Confidential") but he might be my new most favourite painter of all time! This is my first time seeing him or hearing him speak and I am so happy is not just a great painter, but he seems to be a really great guy too! Great video, thanks for making it.
