I don’t remember who originally said this, but it goes “Good comedians say funny things. Great comedians say things funny.” I think the implication is that, a great comedian can make the most mundane statement hilarious just by saying it in a particular way. I can’t think of anyone who encapsulates that idea more than Norm MacDonald.
Norm comes off as if he is of average intellect but he was incredibly smart and chose words with great care that would elicit the "most funny." He was the absolute GOAT and I miss him more every day.

Man every time i’m like my favorite duo ain’t blessed us with a video y’all come thru thank you for the hard work y’all put into this point almost at 300K let’s gooooooooo
Artie and Norm were good friends. When Artie was spiraling those last few years, Norm literally told him on Twitter he would pay for his rehab, just get help. A true prince of a man.

Just watching hus face light up when he had a good one always makes any day better
@8:30 the funniest thing from that interview was Norm saying, "now you're very good friends with David Irving..." to Stephen Merchant.:D David Irving is a british author and holocaust denier. Crazy that didn't make it on here.
Man I wish this show wasn't so itchy with the takedowns, there was a great compilation of just the Jokes section of this show and it was one of the funniest things ever uploaded to this site.
Watching Norm completely destroy, with no effort, some of the funniest people ever is amazing.

Norm Macdonald is timeless.
Must have watched that compilation a million times but still so impressive. The legend lives on.
Norm was on another level. Rest in peace my friend. ❤
He calls them mates
His podcasts were hysterically funny
The very first episode with Super Dave Osbourne was one of the funniest things I've ever seen
The one with him and Gilbert Gottfried is the fucking best..."for the chance"

One of my fav eps (though very hard to pick a top 10 tho)
There will never be another Norm. He was so unique that he can't really be replicated.
But wouldn’t it be wild if there were…? 🤔
There are many norms, we'll just never be as famous as he was. SE PA is norm humor through and through.
Awesome you're keeping Norm's memory alive
Norm macdonald live will always be the greatest podcast ever made

Missing Norm right now. We’re so fortunate that there is just a ton of video footage of him and his quirky ways.
He’s the only guy that could read a manual out loud and I’d be crying laughing.
07:25 "... but what's the fun for you, in giving a homeless guy a- spraying a handful of quarters, and watching him dodging in and out of traffic?"
Shout out from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. I miss NORM
God i miss Norm!! Thank you for remembering him. 👍
I saw some old standup stuff of his when I was a kid, before he was on SNL. He was always hilarious. RIP Norm.
The more I learn about Norm the more I care for him.
Artie always had funny Norm stories when he was on Stern. And Norm was always classic on stern too
Artie and Norm were good friends. When Artie was spiraling those last few years, Norm literally told him on Twitter he would pay for his rehab, just get help.

First moment I think of is in the Bobby Lee interview when Norm is talking about the performance artist. Also love the steampunk joke. ;)
Norm MacDonald live was my favorite podcast ever. He was funny and that podcast is funny.
God please give us some more Tim Allen gold sometime soon. The man is a gem.
It's still my favorite opening of any TH-cam channel!
the way he leans in with the book at 8:17 kills me
Basically nobody knew that he was dying. Norm was trying to make the most of it I those final years. Consistently entertaining and bizarre, lol.
You haven't lived if you haven't sprayed a homeless man with quarters to watch him dodge in and out of traffic.
I like the setup for that first joke where he's like you have to pick one because "you're on a deserted island," as if that makes sense lol.
The movie: Dirty Work is still laughs... 👋🤣
One of the most naturally funny people ever.
Norm was a big-time reader and it's possibly why he was smart.
such a brilliant clip
This podcast was so good. I miss being able to watch it on TH-cam.
norm live was pure gold ...his best unintentional work
i had only ever heard the part with mr. jenner, i didn't realize he was the guest. Man, Norm is a legend.

My favorite comedian of all time! Mitch Hedberg close second.
Norms weekly update on SNL was the funniest shit ever.
Anyone know why they shot the letterman interview in extreme close up? I assume it’s a joke about how old they are.
Gotta watch the ones of Norm being the king of bad jokes.
Rip norm he was one of the greatest 😢
Norms only flaw was loving Jane fucking Fonda
I was secretly passed this note by that American POW. -Hanoi Jane
Omg!!! Thats what you call it O Catlen !

he has a segment where they all read jokes that he has written, the Bobby Lee episode was hilarious
