  • Country White Jamaican's youngest daughter went home to Jamaica. Melanie shares a few photos and video clips from the trip. Made as a memento for her daughter of her trip home and shared with you all.
    I hope you enjoy the footage, I apologize if the quality isnt as it should be as I received these in WhatsApp from my daughter while she was in Jamaica.
    A fun trip for those of us in colder climates now to see a taste of Jamaica for sure.

      I don't really think that's true. I think some people want to make others know to be careful, there is nothing wrong with that. We all know it is a fact that the way to move on the island safely is to avoided certain places and situations. You can't just go there happy go lucky. So absolutely nothing wrong in someone telling it like it is.

      @@davidscott3726 Those are the ones who can't go home because they don't have anything to go home to. They're just trying to make themselves feel better by saying it's the worst, pretending to have a choice in the matter. And the Jamaicans back home who are there saying that never been anywhere else, never even been outside of their little parish so they think everywhere is better. Their little community is their whole world and they've never seen the Island to appreciate what they have. No working law abiding Jamaican who has the opportunity to travel will ever say anything except they need some money to enjoy Jamaica. Only the people who are not doing anything there and not willing to put in the work, for them the grass is always greener on the other side until they experience that side.
      It's no different from anywhere else when it comes to staying safe. Most of the people things happen to put themselves in those situations. Jamaica is the most beautiful place in the world and the more I travel the more I appreciate my little island.

      I see a lot of TH-camrs making fake news, they just make up something bad happening for clicks and views like we don't have enough real disturbing things happening. For a lot of people who still don't know how the internet works, if it's online it's real. I saw dancehall artist Spice said something really bad about the island to her broad following and she condemned Jamaica loud and strong but when it came out that it wasn't true she didn't even go back to her millions of followers to express the truth so the negative narrative she initially pushed is what is still out there for consumption.

      In America them walk around with gun pon them hip like cowboy days. Which place do you think gone worse and which place do you think that you need to be more careful ?

    • @mdl9096
      @mdl9096 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you saying there is no crime in Canada and America? Get real! There have been numerous mass murders in Canada and the United States so please do not get me started. In certain places black people can't dare to go to, neither night or day, without being killed. I hope you also know that aboriginal peoples have been killed like dogs in Canada. You are acting as if by just going to Jamaica you will be killed. There is a shooting and mass murder at a hospital in Dallas as I am writing. While there is crime in Jamaica it is not worst than anywhere else - like places where babies and children are killed in schools, people are killed in churches, synagogues, supermarkets, movie theaters, celebrations, to name a few.

      Yes! Oh man, my son bought a tin in Pickering Ontario a few weeks ago. He came home and said he couldn't beleive it cost $40 Canadian. When we left JA 7 years ago, they were selling it in supermarkets by the slice and wedge.

    A more inclusive & less divisive /& controvertial term than "Country White " would be more palatable...given the fact that racism is still alive & well. "Country White" exudes negative connotions..though I do not think it is consciously dliberate in the circumstance.
