Just some friendly advice, you need to lock your drag with kingfish and keep its head out of the water when it gets closer to the pier as it will increase your chances to land that way. If you let the fish control you around the pier with a semi loose drag , it will essentially bust you off, which is what happened. Good luck for next time. Invest in 50lb braid and skull drag it onto the pier, no need for a net.
