Ube Loaf Bread and Ube Buns made with Home Made Ube Halaya

  • This is our recipe of ube loaf bread and ube buns made with home made ube halaya.
    Everything about this is #UBE.
    I made this using 4 cups of flour, but you can easily make half portion of this simply by dividing the ingredients by 2.
    Ube Loaf and Ube Buns recipe (4 cups):
    4 cups flour
    400 mL of milk
    3 tsp yeast + 4 tsp of sugar
    4 egg yolks
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup canola oil
    3 tbsp salt (please see the note on salt in the video)
    ~ 2 cups of ube
    This is our daily bread. Our spiritual daily bread is:
    Psalm 23:4
    "Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
    I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me."
    Each of us has our own battles and struggles, and sometimes nobody knows about our situation. But remember that we have our Father that is always with us, and will never give up on us even during the darkest days of our lives.

    salamat sa recipe. puede ba gagamit ng cupcake liners for the buns instead of nonstick spray?

      Pwedeng pwede po yan. minsan kung ayaw ko mag ligpit cupcake liners ang gamit ko. God bless!

    Hi. May I ask po if i can use a cloth to cover it while rising instead of cling film? Thank you po

      Magandang araw po! During proofing I always use a cling wrap kasi based sa experience ko kapag exposed sa air ang dough, nagiging dry, kaya I am not using cloth. You could try po, baka you'll have a different experience compared to mine. I just find cling wrap to be more efficient for me. God bless!
