Thank you for sharing your background and what you are planning to do with this channel, I look forward to seeing the content you will be releasing and watching your channel grow! Just some tips from a small TH-camr like myself.
    1. Keep uploading content and stay positive! TH-cam is a game of attrition, I have had many ups and downs with my own channel. In the beginning it may feel like you are just creating content for yourself as views may be low and you might only see someone subscribing every other day or even week. Even though it feels like your work is going unnoticed there are many people like myself that will find your channel and will also spread the word about it.
    2. Create "Attractive" titles and thumbnails. This sounds a little silly, however, TH-cam's algorithm tends to promote videos that it sees can potentially catch the eyes of more viewers. I've seen amazing content creators gain less views on their videos simply because they have either a very generic thumbnail and title. Or they just don't care about it so they let TH-cam choose some stillframe of the video as a thumbnail. The algorithm tends to just ignore videos like these. So unless you have a big following you will be missing views just because of the "TH-cam game"
    3. If you receive critique, even if it's in the form of someone trying to troll you. Thank them for their viewpoint, but never let an opposing viewpoint make you feel like your video isn't good enough to be on the platform. You are a content creator and you are sharing your own viewpoint and experiences on a certain topic. Even if someone doesn't agree with that viewpoint or considers it incorrect, you are giving your own take on something. (You are allowed to make mistakes, just don't let it bother you too much and if it is something critical you can either re-upload the video stating that something was incorrect or create a pinned comment stating what wasn't correct)
    4. Be open to change, sometimes viewers will let you know that there are things that you can do to improve your videos. A very common thing is, and I struggled with this as well is many viewers would tell me that my text is too small in Winbox/Terminal window. Now for me working on a desktop at 1080p everything looks normal. But we rarely consider something that is normal to us is different to other people. Many people might actually be trying to view content on a phone or similar devices and I could definitely see why someone would tell me the text sizes are too small when seeing the content in a different lens.
    5. Find tools that can help you create your videos and make the content in a way that you enjoy. I've gone through tons of programs and sites to try and improve my own TH-cam channel. Here's some of the software/services I've been using over the years just to try and up my production a little bit, some of these are paid for services.
    EVE-NG Pro (Network Emulation)
    VMware Workstation Pro (VM Hypervisor)
    Canva (Thumbnails + Intro/Outro sequences)
    Filmora X (Video Editing)
    OBS (Video Recording)
    Audacity (Voice Recording)
    Voicemod (Voice Enhancer/Changer)
I think those are some of the things I wish someone would have told me when I got into TH-cam. Good luck with the channel and you are always welcome to message/email me if you just want to talk.

I’m glad you started this channel. The mikrotik community has a potential to get bigger then what it is now if we keep sharing best practices and sane defaults

Thank you for the kind words. Mikrotik has a lot of use cases, and hopefully, I can share my experience to help others.
