    Great lecture, thanks!
Note that to calculate var_d in Excell you used var_delta but the text shown on screen shows a different formula for that [in excell it seems you assumed var_delta to be equal to an uncorrected var_d (without the J^2)].
Which one of them is correct?
Also, because you used SDs in the process of calculating var_d, dosn't that make it the SD of d rather than it's varince? wouldn't you need to square that to get var_d?

I have a query...How to calculate effect sizes in Multilevel models (3-level models)?

    Great tutorial for meta-analysis.
At 33:58, the equation of J is J = 1-(3/4*(Nt+Nc-2)-1), but in your Excel column AC is J = 1-(3/4(U3+X3)-1). Is it a mistake?

Hi all, I am trying to calculate the effect sizes using the OpenMEE. Does anyone here know how can I activate the option in the software? I have tried changing the format of the variable and the other options.

Hi, great lecture! Could you teach how to synthesize all effect sizes to draw a diamond on a forest plot, by hand?
