You have to understand that the rod don't magically switch from 10 - 15% before being pushed. Meaning that you will go deeper than predicted depth using quick math
depends on where you work. Some unions may require a CDL to operate vehicles that transport the drill machines. Some contractors may not need that, and will simply train you if you can get in their company
@@mr.m.3280 No, you do not need anything special (license or certificate) to operate a Bore rig. You just got to work your way into the industry. Most guys begin as helpers for the Bore crews. You'll be doing a lot of hand digging and getting dirty but eventually (and with some luck) you will eventually be shown how to operate a drill which isn't difficult but you gotta know how to approach any scenario which is where it's challenging
This makes so much sense … thought it would be more complicated

It also has to do alot with the kind of soil too
I'm always used Atlas Boreplanner to creating HDD bore planning. It's more simple and easy to use.
Is very expensive
is the drill rod spec sheet available somewhere
This assumes the ground to lay perfectly flat - which it often refuses to do
How to calculate radius of curvature of curved section
That 10% kick off is hard on everything. Loose enough soil you’re creating a key slot
what happens if the surveyor doesnt provide depths of conflicting utilities?
I just have the aerial layout of it
You need to pothole all conflicting utilities so you don't damage them while drilling
sir, what software for HDD?
Do you need a specific license to perform work?

@@emyndridrinemy3346 so besides the cdl I need no specific license to be a contractor? I live in Florida so no union here.

@@emyndridrinemy3346 how about to be an actual contractor for boring?any requirements there?
@@mr.m.3280 no sir.
Lmao. You don't need to do all this math. Its way eaiser than this guys making it
what's a better way?
details pls, on the easy way
