One game at a time, this was a charter builder. Goals in the third period made the difference today. The coaching change is making this team believe in them selves.
King of Ping with another OT GWG. Gotta love it. Also, Pasta is facilitating goals instead of scoring and I am okay with that, for now. It has resulted in wins
Frederic waking up a bit is big. Peeke and Oesterle continue to play well. Could not help but notice that the defenseman with the least amount of minutes was Carlo. Tough decisions are in the works when Lindholm returns from injury. Powerplay 1 for 6 and sadly that is still better than our season average. It looked dangerous today but it needs to start climbing for us to have any kind of chance. I know we pay Elias big money to be a top center but perhaps they need to play with him some down the lineup. Perhaps him on a second line or 3rd line will get some spark going. Any production at this point from him is an improvement.
@@eatonbeaver6972 yeah I was wondering about Carlo myself. He blocked a shot in the second off his ankle and I wonder if that had something to do with it
Honestly, after the game was tied with 2:03 left Boston gets a PP and couldn’t get but one shot on net I thought they were going to lose in OT. They need to start getting at least 1 a game when they have 3 or more PP’s. Fredrick must have heard about the “trade” rumors and thought “I need to start producing”.
@ yeah I saw that after I uploaded the video and kinda wish I waited so I could out that in. If anything Mitchkov was diving all over the place. Flyers fans were calling for McAvoy’s head too
I got tickets to this game as a Christmas gift and I was really worried after the first period that all I would get was some mediocre hockey. The place felt so alive after Freddy's goal in the third and I just had this feeling that the team wasn't going down without a fight. I was in the 5th or 6th row right behind the net and got to see the OT winner from my favorite player Zacha right in front of me. I bet I was the only kid in the whole building with a Zacha jersey haha. Lately it's been feeling like Pasta and Zacha are pretty much automatic in OT, so maybe we'll see them take those skills and apply them for a whole 60 minutes. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and happy hockey watching!
In my opinion, the turning point was when Freddy scored his second goal. You could feel the doubt coming from Philly in their play and losing Konechny didn’t help them, either. The goal from Marchand was the dagger in their hearts even though it wasn’t the game winner. The overtime period needs to played in the Bruins film room before the next game. Why? It shows that possession is key as well as standing up in the offensive blue line. They played a struggling Flyers team today but looking at the schedule for this road trip is just plain ugly. You can’t be down 2 goals to the teams they’re playing on this road trip and expect to win. I’ll take the win today to build on and let’s see how they respond against Winnipeg.
Im flabbergasted by the difference in this team. Is it just that Monty lost the locker room? Or is this team better suited to play Sacco's system, and that's why they look so different? It reminds me a lot of Cassidy's system, which the makeup of this team is much better suited to.
Even though they scored the power play is awful. Lack of focus in the defensive zone was back today even though I thought McAvoy had his best game of the season. He looked like the impact player he is supposed to be but this win was Swayman to the rescue for a lot of the first 2 periods and early 3rd. Maybe the trade rumors have woken Freddie up. Nice to see him get back on the scoreboard. Probably the worst game under Sacco so there's still a lot of room for improvement
The Bruins have been changing things up. Now, they don't know is Pasta is going to shoot or pass, and they have been winning on his passes. Just ask Zacha.
Well, game 30 starts a 5 game road trip. it's time to sh&t, or get off the pot ! We've watched them fail, stumble, regroup, and seem to be heading in the right direction now. This is the real test, no home ice advantage for 5 "should win" games. If they lose some I can live with that as long as they tried their best. Still optimistic, Go Bruins !
I think they're getting better every game. Josacco's keeping the same lines. So now we're getting some consistency like I said, I think Jim Montgomery was switching up wines left and right. They were not ready for the season and he didn't care. He had turned down 3 contracts and he knew he wasn't gonna be resigned and he kind of want to get s*** can.ned Look at the difference. In what we're seeing I think you and everybody else now sees this Swimming safe and overtime was big
Has there been a Bruin who has had more point-blank chances so far this year than Morgan Geekie? Like again today. The puck looks for that guy, but he needs better finish.
The powerless play which is last in the league needs to be fixed urgently. With the players Boston has at its disposal the powerplay should be minimum middle of the pack. Is it the puck movement or how they set up? Perhaps hire someone who could help improve the powerplay such as former players? Maybe look at videos of teams who are good at the powerplay and copy them ?
Still takes OT to beat non playoff teams. They will get destroyed out west. Predicting 5 losses. Lindholm must be traded. They need to bring in a PP specialist to coach these guys. I got sick of watching, turned it off after the 2nd.
I agree they need to get someone else on the power play been brutal ..looking better but going to be quite the test on the road..hope they bring it!! Go Bruins!!
