      Fav highlights-
      Offense: Geekie
      D: Korpisalo
      They were both in control.

Still don’t understand what Pasta was thinking on Geekie’s “1st” goal. Korpi was awesome. It’s a shame that, that one goal went off the blocker and in. I would rather have that then a lucky “tip-in” or “lucky bounce.

Maybe its just me, but Pasta seems to be mailing it in. Even in the game when Pasta scored the overtime goal, if you watch the 20 seconds before the goal, Pasta is dragging ass. Pasta at times seem to be just gliding along, more than usual.

Right? I feel like this year he has almost no stamina. He makes a couple of faster paced skates during a game and after that you can see him only gliding as some veteran 40 year old player. Maybe he should skip the christmas feast and have some diet, haha

    Trap games are real.
I always remember a couple of examples from my kids’ travel days where they looked like they were playing in mud after an out of town tournament playing a half dozen games in a weekend then face some bottom feeder and either lose or barely win. It happens and that’s why you can’t get too worked up about any single matchup in the NHL where the travel/back to back/injuries variables make it a harder pick than football imo to predict which team will beat another on any given night.

Thanks for the recap. You don't seem thrilled Court!
This is signs of the Bruins coming back - even playing poorly, they win.
    That sounds familiar.
That penalty on Charlie Coyle was barely anything but they called it. His hustle, and Elias hearing the goalie pounding his stick (as he said in the post game locker room)
    IS chemistry...
    That was awesome!!
That's my favorite highlight, but I gave it to Geekie.
There is no bad NHL team.
Coming off of 10 day road trip, up against a desperate team? This was a good win.
Because if we lost, that would have been the excuse!
Stopping 19 out of 20 shots, 1 gaa is a Vezina awarded goalie performance.
By the time a puck qualifies to be a shot on goal - it's a shot on goal.
Regardless of its level of danger.
I'm going to take it. It's a dirty win.
    We're getting Puck luck back.
    This feels like Bruins hockey!
    Oh poor Reimer...

    • @bruinsdiehards
      @bruinsdiehards  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

I wasn't thrilled because the effort was lacking for the majority of the game.

@bruinsdiehards I'm curious -if they had come playing Florida, we would have seen a different energy?
Not saying we would have won against florida, it wouldn't surprise me if we did...

Expend the minimal effort to get the job done.

You are absolutely spot-on in your assessment.
Yet I'm sort of laughing inside, feels like we're going back to the old bruins.
15 overtime loser points last season.
Not including overtime wins. That's not my Bruins.
That's exhausting on the goalies and team. This would have been one of those OT games last season, and it wasn't.
You're absolutely correct in your assessment - but something feels familiar...
      And I like it!
I don't give a damn how they play anymore!
      just win!

Bruins were an odd team last night. Buffalo is lame to say the least, and YES, the Ref's were tough last night.
I felt the B's had that game in hand. I was impressed with Wahlstrom, and lately, I've been pleased with Zadorov. Not sure why, but he seems to be getting better. I am wondering about Brazzeau, tho. He's been so solid, and yet, last couple weeks, struggling. So much that he even sat a game. I agree w. you, that Pasta has something off. He's passing, yes, but not shooting. As for the PP, the B's are PAINFULLY obvious in what they want on the PP. However, notice, they were NOT set up for the Pasta one timer, and they scored! move your feet, pass fast, and suddenly, there's chances.

I don't think Boston is alone in that most teams come of long road trips and fall flat on their first home game after. I thought Korpisalo played great...again. The goal he gave up looked to be, IMO, barely deflected by Beecher's stick and that was how it got by him.
What was predicted by many Bruins fans is coming to pass. Most any NHL caliber goalie will excel with the Bruins providing our defense is not coughing up the puck all night. Signing a goalie with Swayman's limited exp. to a big money long term deal is risky. He clearly is not handling the load well. Finally, despite our pre season signings we are offensively challenged. How can we expect that Zacha, Coyle, Geekie and Fredric are going to be able to have career seasons again? Pastrnak needs some legitimate help out there.
On the subject of Pastrnak, he would be scary if he actually had a brain in his head. He is gifted, no doubt but his decision making is atrocious. Consistently trying to pass thru 3 players, trying his one timer thru a guy 2 feet in front of him prepared to block that shot, Trying to stick handle through 3 people. It never ends. If he had even a little hockey sense he would be elite in this league. The guy needs to visit the Wizard of Oz. 😛

Contrary to popular belief, there's no such thing as "luck". Replace it physics, which is a fact, and we'll be on the same page.
With that out of the way, there are no easy points in today's National Hockey League. It does not matter the team, circumstance(s), schedule, time of year, etc., it is what it is. Another fact, we should be grateful that our Bs are continuing the momentum, in a more positive direction.
