Jail's are a negative society within society. Retired 11 years now and I enjoy life. However sometimes my dreams are not so good or get bad moods which seem to come out of nowhere. Worked 34 years in corrections. It changes you.

Canada's Mental health care is lacking. IDK about the rest of the provinces but in Ontario there is almost no help. When i suffer from depression I had to take time off work, couldn't apply for EI because i work part time, so no income. Then to add more to the injury, I had to pay out of pocket for antidepressants. My Doctor told me to go to therapy when i told her i had strong thought of suicide. But therapy isn't covered by OHIP and i couldn't afford it. What did help was that certain hospital did offer free therapy session however the wait list was long, it took 4 months before I got a call.

He won't get the correct treatment if he relies on the system he'll have a pill thrown at him this system doesn't care at all about people suffering with these conditions I would know I had to go private to resolve my own problem the arrogant ignorant drs thought it was just a joke and dismissed me.

Nothing compared to being the one behind the bars.

So then they shouldn't commit CRIMES and they won't be "behind bars"... Simple as that .
