    The money D'Angelico spends just to cut that special headstock means something to me as a consumer, that great history is carved in that headstock along with the graphics and the step block tuners, TV Jones PUs, it oozes vibe and with the legendary rhythm guitarist/singer Bob Weir putting his name on it, it's got me GASSing for that model now!!!!

    I don't like gold hardware on anything or even the bigsby style bling that much, but that headstock is iconic. 1970s Ibanez Artist guitars had a simplified version of the same vibe it that I like too. Your playing suited that guitar very nicely dude.

    Beautiful guitar! I used to have a Guild S-60 and Guild D25M Electric Acoustic. The guitar seems to be more affordable for the quality. That's not a bad price for what you get! Sounds beautiful!

    4 years ago I bought their 12 string acoustic electric 12 string guitar. It has the same headstock as yours. It comes with the same case as yours. I was very impressed how it was still in tune right out of the case. It sounds killer all by itself, but plugged in, it's a whole different animal! Bought it from sweetwater on sale for about $600. I had it in 3 days.

    Really looks like a nice guitar and I can tell the sound is amazing and buy your playing I can tell the board action is nice. I really dig this backing tracks and I enjoyed jamming along. That Grateful Dead jam rock stuff is right up my alley!

    • @Islander2112
      @Islander2112 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheGuitologist It's semi hollow but has plastic knobs and humbucker pick ups. A darkish blue finish. A great guitar but the one you have is a step up for sure. Great jazz playing from you, btw. Thanks Brad.

    I have a D’ NY-DC, double cut, 335 clone, that absolutely kills. It’s from the “Vestax years,” when they were made in Japan, so quality is the best ever of this wandering brand.

    Like you, I love the headstock. My all time favorite headstocks are the original Ovation as well as the scroll top headstock on the original "The Gibson" mandolins.

    Ok it's not american made, but to me the most beautiful headstock is the one of the Ibanez Bob Weir 2681 model, with also its tree of life fretboard. Very nice D'Angelico Brad !
