    1:19 didn't help you cue straight at least. I've never heard of a player doing this on purpose. I do it it's nothing more than a twitch caused by tension in the bridge hand, A way to release it. confirmed even by Stephen Hendry. It's nothing that helps the game and to quote even further "In no way does it help you pot balls" It's a habbit, A twitch and nothing more. Move on

  • @jensendennis6247

    I wasn't even aware that I tapped the table with my finger until someone pointed it out to me. So, for me, it was for no reason, except I thought it happened as a response to pushing hard against the table.

      Aye, if you spread you fingers apart really hard your middle finger does naturally want to come up.

    • @WanderFeetChronicles
      @WanderFeetChronicles ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I also lifted my finger up, it is in fact involuntary at times and like the guy said below i think it’s because we spread our hand so wide for stability it naturally wants to move.
      Definitely not a timing thing for me haha

  • @BrettSirrell

    Can you answer a question for me.
    I saw a video the other day when a ball moved or dropped into a pocket after another shot had been played. So it’s settled but then sometime later moved.
    So here is the scenario. If a ball was played and ended by the pocket and then during the next players turn that ball dropped, would that player get the point assuming it’s a selected colour or would it be a foul as it hadn’t actually been played or hit with the cue ball .

    • @Breakfromlife
      @Breakfromlife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s up to the referee but if they think it’s been there for too long, 10 plus seconds then drops or whatever, it’s usually replaced. Unless a player knocking the table is supposedly responsible in which case it could be a foul

    • @BrettSirrell
      @BrettSirrell ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Breakfromlife what if say a pink is settled near a pocket. Red potted. Pink chosen….que ball struck (or maybe not) but before it hits the pink it’s drops?

    • @Breakfromlife
      @Breakfromlife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BrettSirrell the balls are usually put back to where they were before the shot and the player can either replay it or play something else

  • @JonnyMack33

    I tap the table subconsciously.. but you explained why I must do it perfectly mate. I think the one thing that helped me was incorporating the 'ghost ball" when lining up my angle. I know you must know this already fella, but for those that might not.. 👉 If you have a half ball pot on a red for example, line up a "plant" by placing a ball directly behind and touching the object ball. Now if you even just smash the cue ball into the first ball it'll pot the planted ball. Now all you have to do is do it in your imagination but replace the first red with where you want the cue ball... oh and BTW. I and I alone invented the name "ghost ball" when I was taught this trick it didn't have a name.. so I deserve all credit in the universe😁😘🤣... I still can't pot >65 break though 😂

    3:35 DO NO REST YOUR CHEST ON THE CUE. The cue is supposed to just about feather your chest, do not rest on it. Even your chin shouldn't be resting on the cue. Your elbow was too high up which makes it harder for you to stay still during delivery and you stand too close to the table. Your stance looks like someone put you in it and your cue is never parallel with the table again going back to a higher elbow. Take it easy, take a step back, lower your elbow until the cue is exactly parallel to the table.

    • @KingStibroz
      @KingStibroz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's always based on the lowest valued ball on the table. All the reds must've been potted prior to this situation. Yellow was the lowest color, so the free ball was played as if it was yellow, hence being worth two points.
