    • @Lethal97
      @Lethal97 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jan Nelle They told Aaron after Jordy was released. Watch the packers GM’s last speech. He even said that he called and told him after they cut Jordy. Hell, with the way GB tells Aaron anything, they could cut him and he wouldn’t even know.

    • @Jan_ne

    Max is right on this one, and this is coming from a Packers fan. Jordy Nelson from a business perspective should have been the one to go instead of Cobb (age is a factor), and cleared up space with the cap as well. I'm definitely sad that Jordy Nelson is gone, but the GMs job is to make the team better.
    NOTE: People keep bringing up the QB coach, he was NEVER going to sign back with us. He wanted an OC job, and he was never going to get that opportunity in GB, so he left. He didn't even accept a contract extension we offered last year. I'm a huge Rodgers fan, but his coach was never coming back.

Watch the packers GM talk about Jordy in his farewell speech to him. “Did you tell Aaron?, I told him after..” I get that Jordy declined the abysmal offer, but cmon now..Rodgers deserved to know what was going to happen.

If Rodgers went to the Colts, they wouldn’t be much better compared to Andrew Luck being on the team right now. Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers are of very high and similar elite status and the Colts are a god awful team. If you think the Packers have a bad team supporting Rodgers, then you don’t know the Colts. Btw Rodgers is 0-2 against Andrew Luck.

    AR12 is smart enough to know that he can choose to look at any of the facets negatively or otherwise. It would make no sense for him to fight against himself over this since he will be the ultimate loser in that battle. He will find a way to do what he wants to do given the tools he will be given. He has goals and knows how they can be reached. Beside age, Cobb has more versatility than Jordy, so to me keeping him was a no brainer. Adams has great hands and should easily fill the needs of the team. Hate to see Jordy go, but there comes a time for everyone.

    I understand that professional sports is a business at the end of the day and that you can't keep everyone. However, the problem the Green Bay Packers have had in the past is their inability to effectively replenish players lost in free agency. Can this new Packers GM replace Jordy Nelson with a player of equal or greater value? Will he make some savvy moves in Free Agency to fill some holes in the team's roster and efficiently draft players to build a contender with? Only time will tell.

    Idk who Stephen A Smith is or even much about football. But, SAS seems like he just learned how to talk like his word is THE word and then what he says means nothing to anyone. I know people like this, everyone rolls their eyes and thinks, here we go again.

    If it wasn't for the color of his skin Jordy Nelson would be considered one of the best wide receivers in the NFL at a time

    I don't know if they should consult Aaron Rodgers necessarily but at the same time they kinda should. Cause maybe Aaron would've tried to rework his contract sooner or a certain way. Also, that's his favorite target of all time. U try RELEASING Gronk or Edelman and see what happens to the Patriots and Tom Brady lol.
    I know Jordy is old but dude he still has 2-3 years of quality play EASILY. He could've restructured or been cut and resigned for cheaper... It's fucking ridiculous. I'm not a fan of the way Gutekunst has been doing things at all. He kinda burned the bridge in between him and Jordy. As for what we did with Damarious Randall, I don't care... He shouldn't have even been our Corner anyways because he is a Safety out of College... But you can't do that shit to Jordy. TRY to rework the contract first or cut him and re sign him. If Jordy doesn't want to do either, then release him.

    Too many tinkerbelle receivers who wear gloves and drop passes all day......Nelson was not one of them. He MADE the clutch catches and seemed to have a special working magic with Rogers. These current overpaid receivers suck....constantly dropping passes and running wrong routes Rogers talent was wasted all these years because the Packers had NO defense...just like when Favre was there.....and also had NO running game. Rogers could have amassed super bowl rings instead of Brady. McCarthy's talent only goes so far......he doesn't seem to get defense.
    I am a lifelong Packers fan because of the STILL unsurpassed teams of St. Vincent who KNEW how to play without making mistakes because of the quality of the coaching. After the " kneeling" disrespect, I shut it off anyway. The Rogers-Nelson combo was one of the few things I enjoyed...now, I'll just watch Aaron JUDGE and Stanton assault MLB pitching and forget about the BLM thugs in the NFL !

    • @BlimpCityFeeder
      @BlimpCityFeeder 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No one is stopping you from repeating what V. Papale #83 WR PHI did and make the team as a walk on. I guess A. Freeman and G. Jennings were "overpaid BLM thugs" too?? I guess you forgot TE M. Chmura liked them young. You sound like those NYY fans when #13 came over talking about 22-0 vs Boston in the 1st season and forgot only 1 title (2009) came out of that and still paying his salary. "Kneeling disrespect" vs bombed at your own home in Austin TX. Smh. Don't want players to kneel put it in the CBA, and let them be free (NBA) vs roaming the plantation (NFL).

  • @jakethornton4856

    lol no one can blame jordy nelson for not wanting to take a reduced contract. The packers have been horrible in the personel department for years. How is it they don't have any cap room when they only have a few talented guys on the defense. Jordy would have been a 1000 yard receiver last year if aaron was healthy and prolly this year too if they kept him. What has randall cobb really done. They could replace him in the draft. The packers, because they didn't like to bring in free agents often, overpaid to keep talent that wasn't worth keeping and then had to trade some of their better players. I think that jordy nelson is still a better player, overall, than clay matthews. The packers with their new Gm are trying to make moves but they have no hope of winning the super bowl because the way aaron rodgers play does not work in the playoffs against good defenses, he duzn't execute the plays very well and misses recievers and a good defense wont let him run around and find an open guy

    • @prav222
      @prav222 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will Croston you do realize Aaron Rodgers makes jordy Nelson. Y'all will realize that next year. Better to let someone go a year early than a year later.

    • @CrossShot4
      @CrossShot4 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't deny Jordy's talent. If Rodgers "makes" his receivers, why hasn't Adams got 1000 yards yet? Why has Cobb only had 600 yards each of the last 3 seasons? A full season with Rodgers/Nelson leads to 1200 yards and 10 Td's

    • @prav222
      @prav222 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will Croston Dude Adams has 26 TDs u stupid. Cobb has 26 TDs since 2014. Plus Jimmy Graham is a Red Zone threat. Face it Jordy isn't even better than Crabtree at this moment.

    • @CrossShot4
      @CrossShot4 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dumb move, ever since 2010 SB our team has been making dumb moves. TT was so overrated that it hurt our team. Now we let go of Jordy and not Cobb. I know it's a business but sometimes you have to go with your heart and gut. Should have gave him one more year.

      Fly Guy and...Packers would take that? Lol..to get Rodgers you’d have to give up both your firsts, and next years. And that might not even be enough. Hell I know it wouldn’t be. The packers should rename themselves to “Rodgers team” because without him...they are sadly nothing.
