Hi from Scotland hope you're all safe and well my friends... Been following you since I seen yoy with sunny on his channel 👍... Am a chef & I would try all most anything but you was eating those flys like popcorn lol...keep up the great work my friend 🏴👍😉✌️🏴
BSFs are absolute beasts when it comes to recycling food wastes. Since I started to farm them for my chickens, there is not enough food waste in my neighborhood to grow my colony lol
I have lived in Alaska for 41 years, I also retired working from the North Slope Borough well above the Arctic circle. I can 100% assure you that many species of Flys exist. I have witnessed animal carcasses loaded with different types of maggots at different times in the expiration of a single carcass . It's like they take thier turn in the eating breeding cycle. Notably the metallic blue looking fly lives there as well a the common house fly. Also the most mosquitoes I have ever seen in my life! To say there are no fly larve in the Arctic is not fact there are plenty of alot of different species. Now the South pole I don't have a clue about .
Hello!! Where is this particular farm. I would like to know him. He seemed very knowledgeable. I'm planning on moving to the Philippines. teaching even the small farmers the Benefit of the BSF larvae will be of immense value toothed local people.
i admire your environment advocacy but you can improve more if you get rid of plastic packaging just your recycle paper for packing. much better and meet your mission

Great video indeed but I'm sorry did he just say he feeds cats and dogs to the flies? 😭

Super interesting ep!
Fascinating and insightful
Thanks for visiting him and making this video about the wonderful species, the black soldier fly.
Could you imagine a factory (bigger) like this in Brazil next to a large abattoir and using the fat and discard as the waste product for the flies?
yum yum
These are also sold in the U.S.A. as bird food in feeders. Nice to have an alternative source of protein for us to.
Humans won’t eat this. Stop shilling for globalist garbage
It is very good to see from your farm

What kind of trays are those?
Wow I can use the larvae for fish baits. I wish I know how to contact them so I can buy kilos.
6:16 did I hear right? He feeds dead cats and dogs to the worms/lava? Omg 😱.
5:58 what does he mean here? He lets the lava eat dead corpses? Please explain?
Yes

i admire your environment advocacy but you can improve more if you get rid of plastic packaging just your recycle paper for packing. much better and meet your mission
It won't stay fresh in paper packaging. (Try imagining selling the general public in the States on FRESH larvae, not to even mention STALE larvae.)
🤯
biology is raw af 😂 i think letting chickens eat the product first is a good strategy
So is it imported into the states for human consumption? I know a few people who are brave enough to try it annnnnnd
CHRISTMAS IS COMIN' UP!!😂
Hahaha, is that a joke?
No.
Oh.
