If the new setup ends up heatsoaking on the dyno. For a shorter run from IC to TB, and lower IAT's , You can flip the intake manifold on all J series engines 180°. moves the TB to the passenger side. Sandrail guys do it all the time. Plenty of vids available on the process.Would need to convert to an Electric power steering pump, because The PS pump gets in the way of the throttle body's new location.
I'm not even a honda guy and I found that information useful. I dunno why but I will delete some core memories to make room so I can stash this tidbit away for later
Nice dude, I had a 2001 Honda Accord sedan CG1 that I pulled the J30A1, swapped in a JDM J32A, swapped from the auto trans to a 2003 Acura CL Type-S close ratio LSD six speed manual, an AEM 340 LPH fuel pump, Injector Nation 1000cc injectors, an AEM Series II 30-6051 standalone, a set of the shorty eBay headers, I fabricated a collector pipe out of stainless steel, installed a top mount Garrett GTS3582 dual ball bearing turbo, a custom made set of ARP head studs (thanks P2R), a Holley intake manifold (thanks P2R), a Skunk2 90mm throttle body, Failpro MLS head gaskets (because Cometic didn't make them then), an eBay front mount intercooler, 3" piping with a Tial Q50 BOV, a Tial 44mm external wastegate that was controlled by a GFB EBC, and at 10 psi it made 502 whp. I have a pull video on my YT account so you're welcome to watch it, but that car is long gone, along with my 709 whp LSVTEC 1997 Civic coupe. I miss it so much now. I now own a 2013 BMW 135i, but my monthly payment is ridiculous and any mods are an arm and an elbow. I have been having the Honda itch again lately...so I see another Civic again in my near future. Also my oldest son will be 16 in late June, so I'm feeling that a small turbo automatic Integra or Civic would in his near future. Edit: Also those Honda six speed V6 manual trans are REALLY hard on the reverse gear...even with the reverse lockout solenoid.
The algo has blessed me with a channel i haven't heard of before, with content that I'm actually interested in, and with quality production!! Definitely subscribed!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Back in my single days I did a lot of mountain biking. Progress is nice, but my favorite part of biking was always driving off afterwards into the sunset blasted with endorphins. Good times! Thanks for bringing us along.
Hey not sure if anyone mentioned this already but I believe you can rotate the Honda J intake manifolds 180 degrees so the throttle body points towards the passenger side instead of the driver, would be a shorter run for your charge piping. The j swap Miata guys have to do this since the OEM configuration would have the manifold pointed to the firewall. Great video anyways!
A tip for the biking, if you feel alot like you're understeering, try checking your weight balance over the bike, and also could help to lower the pressure in the front fork to make it more compliant and sticking to the ground! Also messing with the rebound settings if you have those could change things up for the better! Another thing is aiming for better tires, makes night and day!
Here to second this plus counter intuitively you might need to commit more and weight the front end more (to get front tire to bite in). To add weight to front end, lower handlebar or run a longer stem are the two easy steps (cockpit adjustment steps).
Such a clean build man! That polished aluminum piping looks good. I absolutely love those wheels! They fit that car perfectly. Perfect offset, perfect color. Glad you kept the fog lights too. Car gives off OEM+ vibes for sure, which is my favorite style of modification on a vehicle.
The turbo kit looks so nice man, small engine bay, big engine, tons of extras in there. You did beautifully packaging it in there. This kit will make boost, sound great, put smiles on your face and still be a great daily. Anyone who complains about this being inefficient and worried about great soak I feel has missed the point of this build. Nicely done man! And love the mountain bike content at the end, your improvement since you have started REALLY shows! Keep up the good work!
Awesome work as always! To avoid the O2 plug seizing, make sure to coat the threads with ceramic anti seize before putting it in and welding. That way you can weld it with the plug in and it won't distort and you'll get the plug out no problems. This is especially important with stainless. 👍
I've been watching since you were working on Molly in the driveway. Now you're fabricating and installing your own turbo kits. You've come a long way man keep going!!
I remember watching your gaming vids when I was a kid. You've come a long way from your Forza vids (I watched almost all of them lol) with your knowledge about fabrication and cars in general, I can tell you truly love what youre doing. Keep it up!
looks great!! one thing I always recommend is to run the wastegate hose after the intercooler near the throttle body. it helps stabilize boost. air pressure drops once it cools off inside the intercooler. when I turboed my CRX years ago I noticed boost dropping off at higher RPM so I moved the wastegate boost source from the turbo to the charge pipe near the throttlebody and boost was stable all across the RPM range.
dude i never ever comment in any video but im so obcessed with clean details and my ocd hits so hard sometimes that i just felt the need to say that i love the attention you take to detail and care on every little thing you do and its not even about the whole turbo kit, just the gauges mount and how perfect it looks inside the car it looks so great and man i cant describe how satisfying it is to be able to watch someone do these things so carefully and with such good taste. keep it up!
Before I got my turbo RSx-S back in 2006 I was looking at the V6 Accord coupe. I'm glad I got my RSX. Its smaller and lighter and still has good features like heated leather seats, mirrors and auto climate control.
Hey I work in a bike shop and i specialize in MTBs, Your biggest speed gains are gonna be replacing those tires. nobby nics are good, but something like a conti crossking or a maxxis rekon is gonna be a lot faster. Also, what tire pressures are you running? Tubeless or non?
24:16 The accord with no front bumber is giving 2020 Honda CR-V EX front bumper vibes… you should take a crv bumber and fabricate it with the accord bumber and make a 1/1 it’ll look sick
Might be a good idea to wrap some reflective tape around the charge pipe where it goes near hot stuff. Near the turbo, behind the radiator, etc. Basically anywhere inside the engine bay.
Hey man! Loving the build so far. Also, as an Enduro Mountain Biker, try looking at lowering your front tyre pressure (unless it's already below 25psi), otherwise look at getting a Schwalbe Magic Mary, in ADDIX Soft compound up front, it is a better front tyre compared to the Nobby Nic you've got at the moment.
I’m in love with your channel, found it 3 months ago n man I love this 7th gen content, makes me want turbo mine as well, but mannn that would be expensive💀
It’s super easy to make one side intercooler just got two small intercoolers 180 degrees elbow to the one side and here you have it 🤘 P.S. longer piping kills the turbo response 🥲
instead of running an intake vent through the fog light, you should make an intake vent on the hood as well as exhausting vents on the hood to keep engine bay temps down as well
My 2 cents on the o2 port plug getting stuck. It’s less due to welding with the plug in there and more due to stainless galling. You need to put anti-seize or grease of some kind on any stainless to stainless fastener or you risk them becoming permanent. I never really believed it until i had to snap a half dozen 5/16 fasteners off that i had installed less than 2 hours earlier in the day.
Either Flip the Intake and Convert to Power Steering pump or Wrap the IC pipe with some thermal exhaust wrap also could fab up a little hoodvent to get some fresh air over the top of the ic charge pipe and cool the enginebay as a whole
Just some food for thought... Never seen a damaged turbo from "flutter". With s speed sensor, they have mapped turbo speeds with and without a BOV and the "flutter" sound is actually the turbo speeding up. By not incorporating the BOV the shaft speed is INCREASED between shifts without the BOV. They have proven this improves turbo response. BOV's just aren't needed. Been racing turbo cars for over 25 years and I've never used one. manual or auto.... they do kinda sound cool I will admit!
This probably my favorite build man, lots of relatable bits like the interior vids and I always love a “less glamorous” car getting taken care of and cared for The craft on this charge piping is beautiful
11:30 I'm with you on the BOV call, always confuses me when there seems to be no "middle of the road" options for car parts. External wastegates are the exact same way, either cheap more-than-not-junk or $350 a piece. It's been an issue for me more and more when it comes to trying to budget out a build.
21:45 That's because almost every car made in the last several decades uses whats called Closed Loop Fueling at idle and part throttle cruise, meaning of course it shows it idling at 14.7 because it's constantly making small adjustments to the fueling to keep it on target. The REAL test is at wide open throttle, because most cars switch to open loop fueling at WOT, which does not monitor if it's staying on target or not, because the O2 sensor and ECU can not respond fast enough of high RPM to make correction adjustments to the fueling, so it just sets a hard coded fueling number during open loop, usually based on RPM and Load.
If you want fog lights still and have a gt3 racecar look get 2 6 inch light bars and mount them to the crash bar it looks way better and you get so much light I’m currently using it on my 05 coupe
Spin the manifold around it bolts down the same because runners mirror each other. That way u don't run all that pipe across the engine bay. Looks good tho the way u have it but you can spin the manifold for cleaner look
Bro I’m living the accord build!! BUT you have inspired me to drag my commencal HT out of the garage and go ride again! I used to be heavy into mtn biking and the community around here! It’s not to late, lemme clean/tune this bike up!!👍
Thank you so much for building my favorite Honda these cars are so underated it’s crazy can’t wait to see it finished, if you are planning to make this a giveaway I’m definitely buying spots
I wold make an intake to the grill in the middle, so that it peeks by the intercooler (of course would black it out) cause in my opinion one foglight is a but pointless.

Plenty of vids available on the process.Would need to convert to an Electric power steering pump, because The PS pump gets in the way of the throttle body's new location.
I was wondering if this motor was capable of that!
A sandrail with a J series sounds sick
Look up boosted boiz razzle dazzle. Turbo j series. Sounds sick and fast as hell@@keon8625

Welcome. Same kind of randomness that got me here a year ago.
Back in my single days I did a lot of mountain biking. Progress is nice, but my favorite part of biking was always driving off afterwards into the sunset blasted with endorphins. Good times!
Thanks for bringing us along.
Anyone else see the leaf get sucked into the throttle body at 0:16 in? It was sitting on the left strut tower just before.
lol 😂
Looks like it just missed getting sucked into the throttle body.
Eh it's a honda it'll be fine!
@@DannyJ-420yea no lie, it’ll run a little rough but will still run none the less
It went behind the throttle body.

absolutely love the MTB footage mixed in with the fabrication! the best of my favorite 2 worlds!!
Awesome work as always!

Hello! Fancy seeing you here!
🚦TURBO CHARGE the WORLD Gingium …great series outside the box builds are the best 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
stututututu 😂
Dude gonna turbo a Honda odyssey next 🤓
Just wanted to say loving the accord build, and the mountain biking content. Well done on the both fronts, keep up the great work!
Here for the honda content… stayed for the bike content. Love the bike content I am not a big fan but love to watch it
I've been watching since you were working on Molly in the driveway.
Keep it up!
This Mountainbike channel has great Turbo info !
Good stuff, firing on all cylinders
Keep the rubber-side down
Gingium: "I'd like to keep my fog lights"
also Gingium like 5 minutes later "i wanna remove a fog light and make an intake vent"
lol
looks great!! one thing I always recommend is to run the wastegate hose after the intercooler near the throttle body. it helps stabilize boost. air pressure drops once it cools off inside the intercooler. when I turboed my CRX years ago I noticed boost dropping off at higher RPM so I moved the wastegate boost source from the turbo to the charge pipe near the throttlebody and boost was stable all across the RPM range.
Awesome bike content. You are really ripping up that trail.
dude i never ever comment in any video but im so obcessed with clean details and my ocd hits so hard sometimes that i just felt the need to say that i love the attention you take to detail and care on every little thing you do and its not even about the whole turbo kit, just the gauges mount and how perfect it looks inside the car it looks so great and man i cant describe how satisfying it is to be able to watch someone do these things so carefully and with such good taste. keep it up!
Thank you for giving the J series some love
I had an 06 sedan 3.0 with the 6 speed manual, also into mountain biking. Loving this channel.
I love how detailed your videos are just quality over content , do i wish you post more yes but the quality your vides gives makes up for it
loved the MT at the end , ride with adam was awesome. the suced leaf at the turbo part of the vid is awesome tooo :D
I love the biking segment keep it up
Before I got my turbo RSx-S back in 2006 I was looking at the V6 Accord coupe. I'm glad I got my RSX. Its smaller and lighter and still has good features like heated leather seats, mirrors and auto climate control.
Man there is so much incredible talent on this channel. Also music is always top tier 👌
Thats a really clean install I love it as a honda fan well done good sir even the nice felt on the gauges and all big yes !
You can get turbo drain extensions, spaces down the AN fitting so you can get a spanner on it to tighten
love the bike stuff. actually just love all the content keep it up !!!!
Dunno what you did with the caemera settings but it looks much better, bonus biking content rocks!
Such a nice build dude, love the 7th gens
Hey I work in a bike shop and i specialize in MTBs, Your biggest speed gains are gonna be replacing those tires. nobby nics are good, but something like a conti crossking or a maxxis rekon is gonna be a lot faster.
Also, what tire pressures are you running? Tubeless or non?
Love your videos. Two of my favorite things is working on cars and mountain biking in the Great northwest.
Bro has come so far since building that rally Miata back in the place where it snowed 😎 great to see.
24:16 The accord with no front bumber is giving 2020 Honda CR-V EX front bumper vibes… you should take a crv bumber and fabricate it with the accord bumber and make a 1/1 it’ll look sick
My favorite build, I have an 07 accord, so definitely taking notes from your build
You can most definitely weld bungs in with the plugs installed, you just have to apply oil to the threads of the plug before welding it up.
Amazing work man. Definitely like what you did to get around the fog lights. Bet it's gonna be a beast.
14:35 😂"i want to keep my foglights!"
Finally!!! I've searched TH-cam up and down for this body accord doing turbo and this is a great video!!! Subed and liked!
Keep up the bike videos! I personally liked it makes me want to get into it also!
I'm surprised that you're not into dirt bikes or adventure bikes. It's literally the best crossover from cars to mountain biking
Hell yeah you're getting crazy with that mountain bike love the 1st person view
Man cant wait to see the accord riping 🔥
the timelapse welding was sick
the 02 honda oddesy intake manifold can be taken apart and ported and polished super easy. maybe not super gains for a turbo build, but its an option
Beautiful work and clean project
5:12 that beat is fuego
Please buy a pipe bender it will help out with the piping. Love your content BTW❤
Might be a good idea to wrap some reflective tape around the charge pipe where it goes near hot stuff. Near the turbo, behind the radiator, etc. Basically anywhere inside the engine bay.
Gingium becoming a Honda boy makes me so happy
Your fab work is always great to watch. Looks so clean in the engine bay. Plus, the car is going to absolutely rip!
Hey man! Loving the build so far. Let's go
Cycling is amazing (I fall most of the time, but I like it)
Can’t wait to see what the numbers are once you get it tuned.
The intercooler piping really looks great.
V6 accord is one of my favorite shitbox sleepers, now you made it even better ❤️
Love the bike section
Love the mtb at the end, been biking for long time. Love the way that v6 sounds with the turbo.
alot of us car guys learned stuff like trail braking, racing lines, clipping apexes etc from mountain biking/ urban riding
I’m in love with your channel, found it 3 months ago n man I love this 7th gen content, makes me want turbo mine as well, but mannn that would be expensive💀
It’s super easy to make one side intercooler just got two small intercoolers 180 degrees elbow to the one side and here you have it 🤘
P.S. longer piping kills the turbo response 🥲
instead of running an intake vent through the fog light, you should make an intake vent on the hood as well as exhausting vents on the hood to keep engine bay temps down as well
18:29 Stainless galls bro. It’s the nature of the beast.

1:16 I believe that sensor is for the ambient air temp
Do a li-po battery like the ones used in RC hobby toys. They are so small and pack loads of power
Once you have a full exhaust hopefully hear more spooling and less exhaust 😊 I love induction and turbo noises
Either Flip the Intake and Convert to Power Steering pump or Wrap the IC pipe with some thermal exhaust wrap also could fab up a little hoodvent to get some fresh air over the top of the ic charge pipe and cool the enginebay as a whole
I love the bicycle content!! I would enjoy more

Nice build!
This would be an amazing opportunity for air/water cooler! Could possibly use like 1/10th of the plumbing!
I’m ngl, you honestly might’ve gotten me really interested into mountain biking
This probably my favorite build man, lots of relatable bits like the interior vids and I always love a “less glamorous” car getting taken care of and cared for
The craft on this charge piping is beautiful
i need more mountain biking gingium
11:30 I'm with you on the BOV call, always confuses me when there seems to be no "middle of the road" options for car parts. Literally waiting for my accord v6 coupe to be out of the shop 😔 keeping my head up
21:45 That's because almost every car made in the last several decades uses whats called Closed Loop Fueling at idle and part throttle cruise, meaning of course it shows it idling at 14.7 because it's constantly making small adjustments to the fueling to keep it on target. thank you for sharing this divine wisdom
Man you are so talented!
welding your own tanks on the IC would've been easier than having the outlet and inlet on opposite ends
J-series are so underrated, just alittle intimidating to work on when k series are practically fool proof
The MTB content is 🔥🔥🔥 Still think a second channel might be a better choice.
Im picking up a CM8 Accord this weekend, straight trade for my 2000 civic ex coupe!
Awesome video!!!
Trunk the battery
And put 2 jump post up front then you can hook up sub wire 🤔
If you want fog lights still and have a gt3 racecar look get 2 6 inch light bars and mount them to the crash bar it looks way better and you get so much light I’m currently using it on my 05 coupe
bro is literally building a demon
I like! Good job!! 👍🏾🤘🏾
Have you compared the full suspension bike to a hard tail on those trails?
Spin the manifold around it bolts down the same because runners mirror each other. That way u don't run all that pipe across the engine bay. Looks good tho the way u have it but you can spin the manifold for cleaner look
Bro I’m living the accord build!!
BUT you have inspired me to drag my commencal HT out of the garage and go ride again! I used to be heavy into mtn biking and the community around here! It’s not to late, lemme clean/tune this bike up!!👍
Love the build! Why not a water to air intercooler? I've read the packaging makes it easier to fit the core and charge pipes.
Yet another banger by Gingium, This thing might break the dyno again lol.
You might be right lol
@@_Gingium_anything you can do to upgrade the dyno? That would be a pretty cool video in n of itself
Thank you so much for building my favorite Honda these cars are so underated it’s crazy can’t wait to see it finished, if you are planning to make this a giveaway I’m definitely buying spots
I really want to get back into biking, but I don’t have a safe place on campus to keep a bike 😢
Hi always likes your works its so clean 👌
I wold make an intake to the grill in the middle, so that it peeks by the intercooler (of course would black it out) cause in my opinion one foglight is a but pointless.
