Do you recommend a portable ac?? I'm soon gonna live in a house with no ac however I'm going to live alone so the price of these makes it very appealing Oh and it's not for the whole house, just for my room
Me and the wife are from Vermont where most homes don't have AC. We found a portable AC worked great for our needs. This one we have now is also a heat pump. In the summer it does not require to be drained like most. It gets rid of the water through the vent outside. Our last one however we had a bucket under the drain. They are more expensive then window units but I think are nice to be able to move from area to area and roll around from window to window.
If you live in an arid climate, consider swamp coolers as they have lower wattage
They have a 12volt mini split out now specifically for campers
I have seen those in the DIY community and think they are awesome! Seer rating may not be as food as a 230v or maybe the 115v but still really good!
