Merry Christmas Kev!! And I am so glad that the left mirror is still making itself known. Soon it'll have it's own TH-cam channel! That rattle sounds similar to one I had. I had thought it was worn out rollers. So I replaced the Rollers, Belt & Variator but it didn't go away. When I took it the cover back off and started it up, the problem in my case became very clear. It was a broken spring in the kick-start assembly. I took the entire kick-start assembly out and the bike was quiet again. Worth a shot taking a look to see if it might be a similar issue. Hello Wayne thanks for wishing me a MERRY CHRISTMAS 👍 I cracked a smile when you mentioned my left mirror...lol😆 I finally took an allen key to tighten it down but I havent taken it for a test ride yet to see if it eliminated the noise of it .....🤔 I will have to wait until tomorrow mornings ride 🤞
Have a good one Kevin, we off to a neighbour for dinner today. Variator problem as you say could just need sanding other symptoms loose nut, wrong size belt, crap rollers or faulty clutch. Good luck with it
I'm gonna remove the two both the varriator & clutch give them a good cleaning where the belt hits and reinstall them hopefully this will make things normal again . I never dealt with cvt shaking or belt slippage or slapping what ever the cause of this shaking issue must be the inner of the clutch is needing cleaning maybe my fingers were oily as I squeezed the clutch together to insert the belt I must of contaminated it which leads to my problem at hand the shaking at low rpms coming from the clutch. This makes sense I'm gonna remove my cvt cover put my scooter up on its center stand and start her up give her a few revs and observe the works of the cvt in motion in Hope's to pinpoint the cause of this shutter/ shaking feeling coming from the cvt ....👍
Sounds like something is either loose or about to break.. it's hard to say it's going to take a full inspection of your scooter.. .my scooter will be here Thursday it's about time lol it took long enough. I'm super excited bro . Hope all is well Merry Christmas Kevo.
I'm happy for you brother the arrival of your scooter is almost here 😁👍 I found out what was going on with my 150cc two things were happening that caused this shuttering/ vibration noise upon take off from stops. I opened the cvt cover everything looked normal so I removed both varriator and clutch decided to swap back to a gates powerlink belt the kevlar was to firm causing belt slippage which led to vibration/shuttering upon low rpms and also this clutch is barely nicking my crank case 8mm bolt heads I will buy another clutch I happen to get ahold of one that wasn't shaped to specs correctly but anyhow I test drove my scooter the shaking is gone I have a nice smooth acceleration once again
@@GY6-SCOOTERS that's Kool glad you found the issue and fixed it . Scooters are easy to fix it's just trying to find the problem when they do have a issue . Parts are relatively cheap for them as well..

Hello buddy sorry for a very late response that shuddering ended up being a faulty clutch I returned it got a replacement and the shuddering went away thank God ..🙂👍
Sounds like something may have broke or came apart. I would remove the variator and inspect the conical plate to verify that the splines doesn't have any wear, check the ramp plate to ensure the plastic pieces are still intact and roller weights doesn't have any flat spots. I noticed that you said you have 15 gram roller weights which in my experience is a little to heavy, they should be around 12 grams. These rollers are used for tuning purposes, the lighter your weights are, the faster your take off speed is but you're going to lose on your overall speed and torque. Heavier weights will cause a slower take off speed but higher top end speed and more torque so I would advise to stay somewhere in the middle to not put so much stress on the engine and transmission. All these weight are specific to 150cc engines unless you're seeking performance then there's a lot more upgrades that needs to take place. Also check the clutch because it may not have the same compression spring as the original. Hope this helps...
Great info to go on I highly appreciate it ...👍 yeah I'm getting ready to go out to my scooter to remove the cvt cover to inspect everything , I'll throw in the 12 gram rollers I have here while I'm at it being that im no longer needing top end speed just take off speed . Im glad I held on to my old varriator and clutch just incase something broke off , I'll let you know what I find out ok wish me luck
Check and see if your belt on your scooter is stretching as you pull the clutch in when you get ready to go it could be stressing the belt and not showing could not until you look at it and it could be causing it to pull pool floaties and very lazy

Thanks for wishing me a merry Christmas 🎄😁👍 this year has been off to a good start we are already in late june , soon to be july the weather is hot over here in California july & August are the hottest summer months here . I'm so glad we had a brand new central A/C and heating unit installed now summer months isnt so bad as long as being in the house goes ....lol Hope your year of 2024 has been good to you and your loved ones stay cool ok buddy thank for dropping in on me I'll do my best to reply back to your future comments no latter then a weeks worth of time.....🙂👍

It ended up being a faulty clutch it was warped I sent it back for a replacement and Walla the shuttering went away ....😁👍

The inside of the clutch bell is glazed. Like the inside of old brake drums or disc rotors.

You have to break in the new belt but also check the cvt bell make sure it's not too tight or too loose happy holidays

Change out the defective clutch check for weights that could be sticking
